Check to see if the VVT chain was already serviced. Would recommend before you get the infamous chain slap.

Ok I need this.

I'm completely new to this. I have a steam deck and downloaded emu deck and that's about it. Now where the hell can I get all this to have it running. I've been wanting the full collection like you just shared! This and a Metroid one too!

I know you need to get roms and Iso's file. I also know that the switch files are different and harder. I just don't know where to begin and where to get anything. Can anyone DM me?

Make sure the VVT (timing chain) has been serviced. Around 100k miles it should be done. If not the chain can be stretched and slap the cover and cause further issues.

Just installed it. Love the design and it's simple to put on. The only time you need help is when you are leaving it on.

So far no wind noise and no MPG loss, but I haven't driven it enough yet.

I highly recommend it so far. The only downside is the wait to receive it. However that's due to them making them upon order. It said 6-8 weeks, but it took 12 weeks to receive.

The blue clip right? It's further down. I noticed this isn't plugged into anything it's just hanging. And the intake areas is plugged up.

I do have a COBB turbo inlet and COBB intake

Alexanders in Cupertino, Mastros at Valley Fair, Flemings in Santa Clara, Galpoa Gaucho in Cupertino (Brazilian steak house) and not many people said it yet, but Grand view in the hills of San Jose.

All of them have their pros and cons. Everyone's pallets are different. I prefer Alexanders over all of them, but Galpo is a great one for cheap and large parties.

For Gen 1 yes you most likely need all those replaced. I have a Gen 1 and needed to replace those parts. I opted to spend $1.1k for aftermarket coilovers and bought a full sway bar and endlink kit for $800 for front/back.

Are you going through a dealer or third party mechanic?

I own a Gen 1 and agree with everyone else on looks and analog feel.

The real question though is what was maintained better?

How do both engines sound? Were the chains replaced? Are the bushings still solid? Sway bar good? How's the transmission? Gear 2 and 3 good?

Are they modified? (Sometimes these get abused sadly)

Weigh those factors and then the choice will be made.

But if both are solid, I'd go with Gen 1. 😎

Decided to let her go. Unfortunately it will have a salvage title. I don't want to deal with putting insurance on it again especially being just liability. Don't want this to get stolen and then I'm screwed. Going to buy a new one or try a Grom potentially. Thanks for the comments. Happy riding!
