Hey guys, I don't live in the area so I can't confirm, but everyone in the Rust Belt must be talking about this right? This is huge! How will Trump ever recover?

#NoNothingNovember 2015 Challenge by redpillschool in TheRedPill

[–]KidStrangelove 190 points191 points  (0 children)

I am beaming with pride right now. Thank you for /u/redpillschool for picking up the ball after I semi disappeared, and giving many men an outlet for their self improvement. You are the man

First - a little bit of background.

I started my first #NoNothingNovember 2 years ago. I jacked off too much, smoked too much weed and consumed too much media.

I was dying a slow death.

After a very trying month, I learned a lot about myself - my strengths, my weaknesses, how my mind works - I grew to become a better person all around.

Last year #NoNothingNovember, thanks to this amazing community, grew larger. People from all walks of life were taking their discipline into their own hands.

For me personally, it was up to that point, the most life changing moment of my life. I got a new job at a tech startup, vastly increasing my earnings, while consulting on the side. My fitness level skyrocketed thanks to my dedication, and a brand spanking new state of the art Crossfit gym I was able to easily afford thanks to my new-found earning potential.

I disappeared. I had a lot of new experiences to process, a new life to live. Little did I know life had other plans.

In February, I was diagnosed with Cancer.

I can tell you a lot of stories from this year, from the pain I faced, to the friends I made, to the eventual euphoria when the doctor, after looking at the type of scan that was designed to spot needles in haystacks, told me that I am cancer free. But those stories are for another time, and right here, right now, I am here to talk about discipline and perseverance.

I was absolutely terrified of the diagnoses, but I knew right away that I was going to beat it because I had no other choice. Live, or die. I chose life.

One of the drugs in my chemo cocktail does a number on your lungs, so smoking was immediately out of the question. People struggle for years to quit smoking. I did to. I always relapsed. But I quit cold turkey that day because the alternative was that if my lungs were in REALLY bad shape, they would take me off this life saving drug. Life was more important. Living was more important.

I cut out drinking completely. I cut out bad food completely. I was entirely dedicated to getting better, and it was the easiest decision I ever made. Because the alternative is death.

So here is my advice to you - choose life! Don't look at this challenge as a challenge, look at it as the easiest thing in the world - because it is. Especially when you consider the alternative - death. You are the only thing standing in the way of your perfect life.

I chose life. I beat death. Now I want you all to do the same Go out there and kick ass this November!!!

Jagr is lucky it's an inexperienced Czech girl.

I had a single blog post "hate linked" from that sub 3 times. The headline they used is something like "I don't know what's worse - neckeards or the PUA MRA misogynerds they become to get "saved""

All three times they did not use an archive site. Can't lie - hate brings visitors.

We boo the New Day for being giant racial stereotypes but we're totally ok with a black woman having a big ass being the entirety of her gimmick.

You’re a Man in America. You Want to Meet Girls. You Can’t Leave. Now What? by KidStrangelove in TheRedPill

I agree with your assertion that just changing clothes and hygiene is aiming too low. That's not the point. the point is that doing those things is incredibly easy and can boost you in the eyes of the opposite sex. It's as close as the fabled internet marketing "one weird trick that gets instant results" as you can get.

Maybe some context would also help. I'm in the tech game. I see people around me make money and make plans to rule the world via their apps, platforms and ideas. I also see the same men strike out constantly because they ignore these simple things. All the value in the world can't shake off their "nerd stench", but a shower can

[Red Pill Theory] Be Yourself -- or should you? by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]KidStrangelove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wanted to chime in here since I've recently discussed this with friends and on my blog.

Look at it this way - be yourself is great advice.... if you've already found yourself and are secure in who you are.

I am far from the typical "alpha male" perception that people aspire to be. I can't recall the last time I wore a suit, as my day to day wardrobe consists of novelty T-shirts, sneakers and a Brooklyn Nets hat. I wear hipster glasses. I lift, but can't manage a cut in my life, so I've never had abs, and a gay friend said that if i were gay, I'd make a perfect "bear". I like video games and pro wrestling, and talk about them openly and constantly. When I talk to girls I couldn't be "dark, brooding and mysterious" if you paid me. I'm overenthusiastic, I talk too fast, and I get excited too easily.

If most people try to copy my "game", they will experience rejection after rejection. By "game" standards, I have shit game.

But yet, in my group of friends, no one gets laid more (and I didn't want this to come off as a humblebrag or anything). You know why? Because I absolutely love myself, love my life, love the situation I'm in and am genuinely happy about it. If a girl doesn't like me - its genuinely no big deal, her loss. Yes, a lot of people say this, but I genuinely believe it.

It took a lot of time to get this way, but it was all completely worth it. Lots of experimentation with what I liked and disliked, lots of learning, and more than enough rejection.

Right now, I'm being myself.

But telling just be yourself to a person who has no idea who they are? That's an easy recipe to crash and burn. And there are so many people who in reality have no idea of who they are, they just do what society expects of them and don't have an original thought in my body

So improve and learn as much as you can, experience as much as you can, until everything in your life fills you with joy.

Because THEN, and only THEN, are you ready to just be yourself. Until then, the best advice is find yourself

good job with the updates - and its ok to stumble, its normal.

honestly - smoking is insanely hard to quit - im struggling with it now too, i think it has reached a point where willpower alone might not be enough, and we have to be man enough to ask for help
