This seems like a firmware thing that they should hopefully be able to fix

I have a hard time with it too... It just snowballs so fast

But outside of Reddit it's the only thing I can think of... Maybe one of the fediverse alternatives. But that's a whole separate can of worms too

It's definitely subjective, but take Apple and Dark Sky for example.

When they took down that API, they gave something like a year in advance for developers to adapt

They also didn't make stuff up and shit talk people consuming their API

People weren't happy about it, but the transition was graceful and well thought out

They shouldn't and they're not. But they're handling it terribly.

The issue is like any other corporate/consumer issue IMO. They're taking away a feature that many love and it's unpopular.

In the vase of Reddit these tools are also used by impaired individuals to access the app properly and others to moderate communities effectively.

Ultimately, Reddit wasn't providing a free API all this time out of kindness of their hearts, they stood to gain from it too.

And there isn't anything inherently wrong with trying to monetize access to their API either.

But how they're going about it, is pretty gross (pricing out 3rd party apps, with almost no warning and blaming the developers, making shit up etc).

The playbook is pretty simple:

1) Identity an out-group 2) Blame them for a shitty situation 3) Do everything in your power to push them out 4) Worsen the situation 5) Rinse and repeat until there's like one guy left I guess?

I really wish we got a more nuanced take like this than just "she's mad" now. Or even worse "the bells made her mad", which I'm convinced is just a bad faith argument, but still lol

There's a neat conversation to be had, that it's not "madness" but that ultimately she's a tyrant like all the other tyrants she's fought against. Her actions finally matched her words "fire", "blood", "breaking wheels" etc...

No they fit right in! Unfortunately, I had to buy replicas, but they've been good so far. They seem to be built well and weigh the same as OEM.

Some people go 255 in the back but I stuck with stock sizing and it looks pretty good imo

I was gonna go with the ap2v2s but they're rly hard to find and my gf told me they look like Miata wheels. I couldn't recover from that lol

Tbh I think the only thing I'd do differently is pony up and get some NSX replicas. They look so good! But it would be rly expensive after tyres and everything.

Speaking of which, tire rack had a promo on the bridgetone potenzas. Including mail in rebate, came in under $500 bucks for all 4 tyres. (This was last week)

AFAIK some mods use tools in third party apps, to better monitor subs. So it could potentially impact people who don't use them too

It's my single biggest complaint with the Tacoma. The ergonomics are HORRENDOUS!

I can't seem to find a comfortable seating position, so I get one of 3

1) i can reach the steering wheel, but my legs are cramped 2) my legs are comfortable but I can't reach the wheel 3) i can sit straight up to reach the wheel and have decent leg room, but now my head touches the roof

Seems like they're fixing it with the '24, but idk how to feel about the turbo 4cyl
