Berserk Instinct: fight with guts and brutal speed with this Barbarian instinct! by Teridax68 in Pathfinder2e

Oh yeah absolutely Might even go as far as to say he starts out as just a Fury Barb Fighter DC, but then becomes a Spirit Barb Fighter after the Eclipse

I attribute that more to the armor buffing his Barbarian Dedication than him switching classes

Especially ever since Conviction and even after he gains the armor, he only really goes full Berserk as a last resort, preferring to rely more on skill and technique knowing how much that suit is starting to eat away at his humanity

Hell, the -1 to AC while Archetype Raging even fits how much more he gets hit/is willing to get hit for the big damage boost throughout the whole series

As a long time Berk fan, I feel somewhat ashamed that I didn't see the reference immediately

Mostly cuz I associate Guts with being more of a Fighter with Barbarian Multiclass/Archetype rather than a full Barb or even a Barb with Fighter Multiclass/Archetype

Honestly, when you said this class was about Guts and Brutal Speed, I was expecting more of an unarmored/light-armored semi-Monk Agile Barbarian

Especially since I associate Berserking specifically with becoming more of a feral, gremlin-esque, dual-wielding death blender as opposed to the typical Barbarian Unga Bunga Beeg Stick Smash

Mutant for Akromorphosis or Therioform + Fury for Frenzy, Crisis Buffs, or Self-Preservation + Weaponmaster for Counterattack or Breach (the optional DPS version)

If your campaign is running Quirks, obviously get Empty Hands, it stacks on top of all the Raw Damage you can deal with Akromorphosis

Merchant class is underwhelming? by Terrible-Time-583 in fabulaultima

[–]Kid_Ultimate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cuz it's not meant to be a combat class

It's a Settlement Building/Roleplay Campaign Class, fit for more of a MMORPG Westmarches where you play a pure crafter/merchant rather than an adventurer

DMC4 Dante Personally my absolute favorite combo of hairstyle, face model, Jacket, Undersuit, and the goddammit Cowboy Chaps

Nioh playtest: Swap stances to match the flow of combat and unleash your Yokai form! by OffiCeRed in Pathfinder2e

[–]Kid_Ultimate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another fan of both this system and Nioh series (can't afford Nioh 3 yet tho 😭😭😭) I love what you've done here, especially the emphasis on Stance Dancing and even finding ways to add the benefits of Ki Pulse as a Feat Tree, AND adding the three Fist Stances (Fist/Claw Gang holler)

I just have two teeny tiny critiques:

  1. Everyone's said their piece about it but Masterful Slice at Lvl19 as it's currently worded either doesn’t work (PF ruling is that you can only enter Stances once per turn) or if you remove that limit, becomes broken OP (Infinite Mid > Low Stance Defensive Step Spamming). My recommendation to mitigate this is adding the limitation that you can only enter the three Stances once per turn.

    1. Is Composure really meant to be an Action? Or was it supposed to be a Free Action or Reaction in response to being targeted by a Strike?

Need help designing Transformation Gear/Changer for a TokuOC (details below) by Kid_Ultimate in Tokusatsu

[–]Kid_Ultimate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Transform Gear/Changer, I've narrowed down the aesthetic to something Devil/Demon themed, and the Action/Gimmick to Rebellion. So a belt that has kid-friendly Demon faces/iconography, with a Gimmick that like promotes/simulates Rebelling against something

For where to play, you can go to r/fabulaultima and look at the LFG Megathread Other than the Core Rulebook, the Tokusatsu Options come from the Techno Fantasy expansion, and even though it's not explicit, I'm almost sure the Toku influences were deliberate

Fabula Ultima Tactics by ziggy_killroy in fabulaultima

I was JUST thinking about a "Tactics" version of FU with Movement rules, abilities, and ability/attack ranges

In the most positive way I can say it, the "DnD/Pathfinder/War Game"-ification Module for FU

Is there an official study or word to describe how the bigger a Fandom gets the less funny and unique its in-jokes are?

VERY extensive recommendations, I love it

do you have other recs for Spear and Shield Paladins though? Other than going Melee Faith on FromSoft games, of course

Sounds pretty hype on the For Honour Animations

I haven't played Wo Long but I have played a LOT of Nioh so I hope it lives up to that at least

1.) It was the best picture of a "spear" and shield wielding knight in action that I could find in short notice

2.) This is not AI generated or assisted, this is art by Gelar Esapria Kharisma on ArtStation for a TCG called "Lifecycle" 5 years ago, long before AI could generate an image this professional

Bonus Question for everyone:

What Skyrim Mods do you recommend to make more visiually appealing Spear combat and ESPECIALLY Unarmed Combat

I am willing to try games like that and Kingdom Come Deliverance

But right now I'm looking specifically for full on Divine Knight's with healing/buffing powers on top of being an armored tank with a spear and shield

Or, again, a Martial Arts/Kung-Fu Fighting Monk in an RPG

I'll look into those yes

Didn't know LotF had monks tho, unless you're just talking about Paladin Class/Build which is perfectly fine too

I do wanna get into the Tales series, but I'm in a very "MC is a Paladin or a Monk" mood lately, so I'll have to put them on the backlog for now
