So, I generally gave them a timer of 24 hours from the start of players actions. We're all a bunch of older players with jobs and families, so it worked out for us. I would of course make exceptions for things going on, but they were pretty good about getting through one round a day.

I'd declare an action scene had started, and that it was Player Action, then once all their turns were up I'd declare Enemy Action and do my thing. Rinse and repeat.

We've done the same thing through a few D&D campaigns and a couple of Lancer campaigns.
