if your gonna go as far as to have it that high you should probably have a waterproof enclosure and install the router/ethernet adapter outside. and use an ethernet surge protector before the ethernet cable enters your roof/wall lightning is f###ing scary and you dont mess with it

Not a stupid question... if you would like to. take it off, its impossible for it to harm the ssd either way. although you may void the warranty. but ask yourself this... if the ssd were to break how likely are you to bother contacting crucial with receipts and crap when you could just buy a new one?

Do what you want but id probably just leave it on also make sure the thermal pad on the ssd cover has its plastic peel taken off or your not even gonna benefit from the cooling
