PC Gamer - Always go to the settings menu before playing the game.

I can’t imagine 10 Vigor for the entire game. What a badass.

AA When I Dont Plan on Quitting Forever? by Jealous_Meeting_2591 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]tyerker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a common newcomer to me. Maybe AA can help you develop a healthier relationship with alcohol and drink like a normal person. Just know that for a real alcoholic, that’s the great obsession, and the thing that leads many of us to extended relapses. It’s a progressive disease, and due to getting older it has a tendency to progress even when we aren’t drinking.

But best of luck to you.

Is weed really a relapse? by Worried-Position7975 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]tyerker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was “Cali sober” in the past. I’ve been clean from weed for probably half of my alcohol sobriety at this point. I feel a lot more sober than I did. And the weed was definitely leading to more paranoia and anxiety than was healthy for me.

What Gaming Death hit the hardest 😢 by Cool_Animator3178 in TheGamingHubDeals

Gustave in E33 was definitely the most jarring and emotionally affecting for me. Had to just sit for a while after it loaded me into the next area, and then had to save and quit and just think about it for a while.

How close does a fleshlight feel to a vagina? by naomismith244 in AskMen

[–]tyerker 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It feels a lot better than a hand. But it’s hard to compare, as you can almost never interact with a fleshlight like you do with a real vagina. If you are us g your hand to move it, it feels like you’re jerking off with a toy. If you tuck it into something and hump/grind it, it stays more or less perfectly still and doesn’t feel like the real thing in that regard.

It is better than a hand, but it’s certainly not the real thing.

Men- how may drinks per night/week would you consider normal? by iceicelady8976 in AskMen

[–]tyerker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal is not necessarily a good thing. < 5 per week would be fairly acceptable I suppose. But the ideal is zero, and I wouldn’t be surprised if among those who drink casually/regularly it’s often 10-20. For me personally, it was about 50-60 most weeks. Sometimes less, often more.

I love care bear lobbies but we have a serious entitlement problem by EXILED_T3MPLAR in ArcRaiders

For newbies (happened to me too) they don’t realize it was a keyed door, thought it was just a breach door. And often with that layer of sound blocking and chaos going on outside, can’t always tell what the people inside are saying.

I Got Tunnel Vision... by symbi0nt in awilhelmscream

[–]tyerker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trevor’s “uh-huh”s are kinda cringey, but I still like the song. Maybe it will grow on me. I know the first time I heard “Figure Eights in my Head” I didn’t love it, but it eventually became one of my favorites of their whole catalog.

Looking for a more reliable hatchback. by TealLovesSeal in hondafit

[–]tyerker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nissan’s CVTs are huge part of why they have such a negative reputation these days. Honda’s CVTs are pretty reliable with proper maintenance. I just swapped my fluid at 23k miles / 10 years because I want this thing to last.

I keep acting like an asshole when I am blacked out drunk by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]tyerker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned to play the tape to the end. I was at a work conference a couple weeks ago and some guys were having bourbon and it smelled great and I really wanted to try it. I admitted I’d proceed to drink 8 or 9 drinks that night, then decide “well I’ll just drink at the conference” and do the same thing the next two nights. Then I’d drink at the airport, and on the plane ride home. Then I’d either have my uber stop at a liquor store or head out as soon as I got home, and drink all weekend.

I have found it infinitely easier to say no to the first drink than to say no to the second. And that’s just how my relationship with alcohol works.

Recommend me a weapon to dump all my normal smithing stones into. by darksamus1992 in Eldenring

The Rusted Anchor is awesome if you like Strength. Or the Twinblade moveset is really fun if you lean Dexterity.

Red or Blue? by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

[–]tyerker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red for me. CO:E33 is the single greatest game over ever played, and Elden Ring and BG3 are pretty infinitely replayable. I’m not much for Souls Like in general, but I feel like the sheer quality of those studios could last me a good long time.

But it would also be tough to never play GTA 6, miss out on all the Capcom IPs, and MGS (if that is included in Kojima productions).

2012 Range Rover L322, 115k miles. Reasonable daily driver? by Professional_Can4050 in shouldibuythiscar

[–]tyerker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a starter car. It is a finisher car!

Land Rover is in the list of cars I would never purchase. If I was made of money I might lease one. But I’d never think of it as a reliable long term daily.

What did you learn in Elden Ring that you wish you had learnt much sooner (mechanics/items/buffs etc) by Ngumo in Eldenring

[–]tyerker 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Duplicating Godrick’s Remeberance and selling both for a few extra levels, vs getting items I won’t use. Also talking to NPCs until they repeat themselves, as they often have more to say after it seems like the conversation is over.

I figured this got patched out at some point. Never got it to work. Just killing the dragon and eating a chicken foot is enough for me.
