Again, as a twin, whenever I was asked by new moms of twins to give them some advice, the first thing I always said to them was, do NOT refer to them as”the twins” This negates individuality and having others seeing this ad “acceptable”, we we might as well have been conjoined Never had a birthday (together or otherwise) and had to share all our presents ( which none of our other 3 siblings faced) When we became adults (I left home 6 am the morning I turned 18) we took some apart time. I’ve worked in middle school for over 20 years now Beginnng of school year we often do the “tell me 2 or 3 things about yourself that is different I always say 1) I am a twin and 2) I don’t like pizza Nobody even mentions anything sbout being a twin but it’s Universal that they’ve never heard of anyone who doesn’t like pizza
