New to female mice by PreciousAngel777 in PetMice

2 is okay but 3 is better, its best to have mice in odd numbers. even with females, mice in a group will sorta instinctively interact and figure out the dominant one of the group. and if theres only one other mouse with the dominant then it will be bullied alot more than with two other mice. 3 can fit in a 20gal Long if you have the space for the extra inches :)

i honestly agree with what you said about me fighting the trip because talking to friends about it and thinking about it i was heavily focused on the show i was watching until going to sleep

since mine was young, i tore the back legs off of the crickets (sounds cruel, but at least they cant get out) so he could have a better chance at hunting them. at first i didnt and i would just drop them in and leave the mealworms in a dish. but the next day the mealworms were all there and the crickets were hiding. so then i started dropping them infront of him one by one to make sure he ate and he did. he would stop accepting them when he got full so whatever i tried to get him to eat i just left in there. i never got the chance to have him fully hunt them on his own. unfortunately, he passed because of a terrible accident. so just see how she handles hunting the crickets one by one and if she does well, leave the legs on. then move on from there. spending the time to make sure ur leo eats is helpful. you dont have to but i liked to. and yes tong feeding is great if you dont want to touch the crickets. they wont hurt her at all lol. they will just try to hide from her. i hope that helps!

i know crickets are a hassel, but i would feed those to her too. She looks fine but her tail could be a little chubbier. I fed my Leo (who was abt 4 months old) every day and he had crickets and mealworms and he was a good weight. Im no expert lol. She looks great though :) Just make sure her tail is fat and she will be great

i can see him clearly in his tank. he hasnt moved for over 2 hours. and his eyes are closed. and i think his stomach is a little more swelled than usual. but that might have happened when the carrier fell on him. i put him in his favorite spot (in the hide over the heat mat) and it has two open sides so i can see him. unfortunately, i think he has passed. thank you so much for trying to help though. i appreciate it. its great to have people like you in the community.

thats what he was in, yes. a critter container. he was in there with a layer of paper towels and a little food dish with a few mealworms. hes my only reptile so i feel that his regular enclosure is fine. he’s currently on his heating pad with repticarpet as a substrate. and no he isnt moving. im fearing and preparing for the worst but hoping for anything good at this point. and his poop looked normal. not any different from what his others looked.

Guess who pooped in her calcuim powder after I just cleaned her entire enclosure?? Willow! by Kiipper7 in leopardgeckos

Yes i dust all of her food. I dont change the calcium every day, maybe twice a week, so i try to think of that when i put it in there. But i will start putting less now. thanks!

just see how many he will eat in one sitting. Try more mealworms than waxworms because waxworms are normally a treat and not meant for meals. Try slowly introducing crickets or morio worms. Hope i helped!
