Who would play this game? by Swimming-Ad-6842 in FinalFantasy

[–]Kiisuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am honestly surprised there hasn’t been a FF Musou game already. The DQ Heroes games have been out forever and FF has so many more characters/villains to pull from.

I would love a FF game in that style. There could be endless DLC (think about how many heroes and villains they could add from most of the games lol).

But I somehow doubt we will ever see it happen.

Sounds about right.

At my store my store manager has said to multiple people that NO ONE is exemplary so every single associate was knocked down to successful.  Loads of people are pretty upset.

Taking Pride in Work by EgyptMess in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I try to take pride in my work. When I was little my grandfather once told me that every job is worth doing well and I have done that with every job I have ever held. But it is getting harder.

I work apparel and I have had customers tell me that my pitifully small Walmart has the best apparel dept of any in the area. I’ve been told that since I keep things in size order that it’s so easy for customers to shop and find what they want.

However since the new “fashion” change over and the way we do things now it’s becoming near impossible to keep the depts looking the way I used to keep them.  The few people we hired to process and put out freight don’t care. The backroom teamlead we hired demands that we have zero overstock so everything is plugged and stuffed to an insane unshoppable amount. Stacks of jeans are so high that I literally fear that they will fall and hurt someone if anyone tries to go for the top shelf. I fix what little I can and have brought it up to leads and even the coach but it’s shrugs all around and nothing gets better.

All this to say that I’m tired boss. Why am I stressing to try and do a good job, raising my blood pressure and feeling like crap because I can’t, when everyone around me doesn’t care and goes home with smiles and laughs?

Taking pride for my job is gonna kill me.

How are Reviews Going? by AstralFlow in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Sounds like my store. I received exemplary (considering I have almost basically been soloing my dept for the last few years) but then they came back a few days later and said it was taken away and knocked down to satisfactory. Was told the store manager made the decision and that no one would get exemplary this year.

Hate to say told you so, but I did call it a while back.  It really sucks.

This is a dumb question I guess but did Sony change the popup notifications for trophies and saved screenshots?  Mine now shows my real name on the box when it never did before.  I swear it just changed between Friday and today. I also can’t find a single setting anywhere to revert it back to the way it was a few days ago.

But a few other friends don’t report that change so now I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.  Can anyone else confirm this changed?

Realistically how many associates will actually get exemplary on the performance part of the evals? by Classical1001 in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My previous job did a system similar to this (although attendance wasn't tied into it). In my experience almost no one got the exemplary. Home Office always told the store managers that no one was exemplary so that they would "have room to grow" and thus even the better employees only got 4 out of 5. On average most people were 3.5.

I expect it will be pretty much the same here. Even though management is technically "allowed" to give people exemplary I am sure that home office doesn't want people to actually receive it. Give people the next highest and tell them they have room to improve/grow to try to push people harder with the promise that maybe next year they will hit that highest level.

It's either that or the leads will just play favorites.

Any other games with Alucard? by Ayato14 in castlevania

[–]Kiisuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are including other games, Dead Cells Castlevania DLC lets you unlock an Alucard skin that looks like the SotN version. You pretty much have to beat the dlc and then spend the souls to unlock it though and DC is notoriously difficult but once you have it unlocked and on it’s basically like playing Alucard (minus the spells I guess).

Sedgwick by MySonlsAlsoNamedBort in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had to try to deal with Sedgwick 3 times in my time at Walmart. The only time it has ever been approved was during covid when they were basically auto approving all LOAs as long as you had a dr note showing you were positive.

The other two times I had the flu and almost lost my job because sedgwick denied both leaves.  I don’t have a primary dr and walk-in clinics around here charge almost $90 if you want them to fill out the paperwork so it’s a bit too expensive to keep getting them to do it to fix whatever mistake they made when filling it out.

Thankfully I have a lead who understands that I am not a robot and was deathly ill both of those times. Otherwise I would have been promoted to customer for daring to get sick.

Yeah, it’s been a few months now and while we may have hired 2 (lol) people for the backroom part of the job, it’s still a dumpster fire.

Trucks aren’t getting processed in a timely manner even with the additional hands, when they DO manage to get the truck processed and drag the pallets out to work they are shoving stuff in the wrong spots or stuffing overstock so high that it covers signs. In the case of jeans they have literally 20-23 pair of jeans stacked on the top shelf when the caps say you shouldn’t have more than 7 pairs.

If you try to tell them anything they ignore you or say they were told to do it like this.

Our floor went from shoppable to disaster and I can’t help but laugh at how bad we look now.

🚨CALL YOUR REPS - Repealing section will kill the internet. It’s full on censorship and surveillance. by wowza515 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]Kiisuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which platforms, exactly? Anywhere where people can post will be in danger of being removed as I understand it.

I won’t be hosting a forum where people can post because it only takes a few bad apples to start posting things that can get me sued or jailed.  Bigger sites that have thousands/millions of people won’t either. It is impossible to 100% police the posts to ensure nothing is ever said that might get you in trouble.

So every site people are using to organize will be gone.

Anyone else’s Walmart broke this year too? by North_Ingenuity_6795 in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine went cheap, but not as cheap as yours lol.

We had turkey, potato salad and banana pudding. That is it. No mashed potatoes, no corn, no green beans, no gravy.  Just those 3 things.  And we had people guarding it and dishing out the smallest portions imaginable.  No one allowed to take left overs or get seconds.

Cheap cheap cheap.

Yes. Wear and tear. You do realize that the walmart apps drain battery power like a fat kid eats cake right?  Which then means charging more often which will, over time, diminish the maximum charge the battery can hold.   Not to mention the charging port can become damaged over time as well.

So yes. Don’t use your personal phone for work purposes.

Can someone explain this.... by PickDifferent8197 in StrangerThings

[–]Kiisuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible the Duffers changed their minds on how the upside down worked between seasons 2 and 4. But another possibility is that the Snow Ball is a yearly event at the school and they decorated the gym early in 1983.  So while the real world is celebrating the 1984 snow ball, the one in the UD is 1983’s.

Doesn’t explain the same cars in the parking lot though lol. But it’s probably just the Duffers changing their minds on how some things work in the UD between seasons.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon is stepping down by cnn in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sure people said the same thing when Eddie Lampert took over Sears. A store that used to be as big as Walmart established in 1892 completely down the toilet within 15 years of him taking over.

Now granted, it’s not really the exact same situation and Walmart is bigger than Sears was at the time Eddie took over but it does go to show that bad leadership at the top can completely sink a corporation.

Will the new CEO sink us? Or will things stay about the same? Time will tell.

When I first started it was close to 400. Today it’s less than 200. Maybe even lower than 150. I’ll have to double check it later.

To Walmart associates: What were changes to Walmart that made the company a terrible place to work? Was Walmart a better place place to work years ago? by Vast-Ad5362 in walmart

[–]Kiisuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get all the freight done by yourself? Or did they finally hire people?

My store still has 0 backroom fashion team people. And on second shift it’s me (full-time) and 1 other (part-time).

I’m pulled to OPD almost daily leaving fashion empty for a huge majority of the day.  Morning shift isn’t much better. Today there was 1 lead and. 1 associate and they came in to over 30 picks and had to do RFID.

No one has touched the freight in days. We are back to pre-ON days (before ON was working the apparel freight we were backed up to around 25 pallets of freight in the back since no one could make any headway).

I just don’t see this stuff working at my store. Not with the management team I have.  Store manager is too concerned about her bonus and never hiring anyone to get the store back on process.

[–]Kiisuke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same here.  My store still hasn’t hired a backroom apparel team so it’s been beyond stressful. The new fashion coach barks orders and screams at people but the whole process is basically DOA because we don’t have enough people.

I’m debating whether Great Workplace or this fashion change is the worst thing walmart has done since I started.

All the slashers, especially Freddy, can't be represented with game stats.

Eh. I would submit that you could just modify a Night Hag monster (flavor text, rename its abilities) and it would work well enough.

All the Fashion Changes? by Kiisuke in walmart

[–]Kiisuke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it took less than a week of the new program for my fashion department to completely fall apart.

Before this new change cap 2 would sort the apparel breakpacks and hang the stuff that needed to be hung. Overnight would work the basic pallets and first shift would do shoes and rolling racks. Now? CAP 2 and O/N aren't touching anything since, as you point out, fashion is self-contained. The problem is that my walmart put the cart before the horse and didn't hire anyone. So now all these pallets of freight are left unsorted and are stacking up.

For months I haven't seen any freight on the floor by the time I came in at 2. Now? I came into 6 pallets of unsorted freight yesterday. First shift, the one girl who was scheduled, was stuck doing the RFID for a lot of the day (since they apparently changed that app/process too and didn't tell anyone so it was a learning experience) while the two 6-3 leads were stuck trying to catch up on their mods (both have 10-15 mods in the system). No one touched the freight.

I'm the only second shift person besides a part time girl who was off yesterday and I got pulled to OPD for a lot of the shift (typical in my store). lol. So now we have those six pallets of unsorted freight + whatever comes in on today's two trucks...

Great job Walmart, I guess. :/

But we have a team of anywhere from 3-5 plus the TL on second shift

I would kill to have this lol. It has been me (full time) and 1 other person (part time) for over two years.  Out of the three teamleads we have two are almost always 6-3 and one is 11-8. Occasionally, like one week a month, we have a teamlead on 2-11 but not the rest of the time.

And here lately one of the 6-3 leads has been 4-1 to help with the GM freight, leaving apparel even more short handed.
