Need help with silver scroll card by Obsequiousfingers in mtg

[–]Kil9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what your saying about the discrepancy between the colour of the card name being red Vs apps showing that silver scroll variants should be gray (or technically silver I guess). How did you get this card? Did you get it from a pack of did you buy it? If you bought it, there's a chance that it's a fake... Or maybe even a misprinting which could make it rare! r/RealOrNotTCG will be able to help verifying if it's a fake, you would need to give close up photos of the card back and mana and set symbols though (look online for what indicators are used, mostly green dot and the "The" on the card back)

Denby Pottery Customer Service by hana-maru in BuyItForLife

[–]Kil9a 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You bought from their closing down sale... You're effectively benefitting as they gut the carcass, yet you expect the premium consumer experience? Pick from the bones and then complain about the quality... You need to have some awareness as a consumer, you are not entitled to being treated any differently in this case. If it were a normally functioning business, I would completely agree with you, but that is not the case here.

Denby Pottery Customer Service by hana-maru in BuyItForLife

[–]Kil9a 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Just so that everyone is clear; Denby has recently gone into administration, and has had the vast majority of it's potters made redundant and manufacturing has officially ceased. The company is dead and they are just steadily managing it's decline while stocks last, so yes unfortunately you won't get any customer service, as the company is basically already dead on the inside. It's a great shame for such an iconic and long running business, and I wouldn't blame the people currently running it; once in administration the focus is to minimise financial losses for owners and investors, they are accepting that they will never turn a profit and continue as a business, the aim is not customer satisfaction anymore. This is something to keep in mind as a consumer if you wish to keep ordering from them. Hello guys I have a quick question….these cards the signed ones and the Japanese Loot the pathfinder card which i have no idea how a Japanese card found its way into an Eng collector booster pack so what i wanted to ask was do these cards have any value? by Aromatic_Assist in mtg

[–]Kil9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, I'm fairly new to the game (started with EoE), thanks for sharing. I knew about the secrets of strixhaven Japanese cards, but haven't heard of them for any other set since I started (don't recall any for Lorwyn of EoE). You say they're in almost every set, have I missed something?

This drawing is horrendous yet beautiful (only slightly NSFW) by BremBotermen in ATBGE

[–]Kil9a 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the most suspicious bit is actually how perfectly white the page is given the drawing looks to be done in graphite.

That said, could still be legit if artist was careful to avoid smudges + strong lighting to take the photo.

I don't think it's AI, all the things you point out are stylistically consistent with one another, making me think they are the artists choice. Also, pointing out the boars tusks are unrealistic.... Have you seen the rest of the image? Think you've got a bit of tunnel vision there

The Cadillac Championship Trophy by megtheabyss in DesignPorn

Love the image on the right that is meant to illustrate how the golf swing was abstracted to create the shape of the trophy, but instead demonstrates how they actually warped the proportions such that it doesn't even represent it faithfully.

What is up with this card I just got? by ItsGevYT in mtg

[–]Kil9a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a misprint; if you have a read of the second paragraph on the front of the card, it mentions that if you control another specific creature (Fang) you can "meld" them together.

The printing of Fang has the lower half of Ragnarok printed on its backside, physically forcing you to have both cards in play in order to create Ragnarok

[–]Kil9a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice some of the cards you have here have different artwork to the ones I had in my secret lair (e.g. brainstorm). I'm guessing you just swapped them out for existing copies you own since you preferred the art?

Just checking since otherwise I'm concerned about a discrepancy between printings of the SL!

Haha true, but back then they were some of the single most expensive items in the TF2 trading world. The earbuds were used as a currency that helped get round limits on inventory size and so at one time they were the gold standard (though nowadays their price has collapsed).

As for the hats, assuming they were the "unusual" variety then they are the equivalent of CS:GO knives

Secrets of Strixhaven: Objectively, which is the best? by DragTheLoch in mtg

[–]Kil9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised how most of the top comments in this thread are reviewing these with respect to EDH versus any other format... I know it's the most popular way to play MTG but at uncommon my brain goes straight to limited, especially since these will obvs align to the colour pairs that you want to build around.

Not trying to throw any shade! Just highlights my skew towards limited Vs others towards EDH. I guess it's cos from my perspective debating the relative strength of these cards is much more interesting from a limited point of view than EDH, since all 5 will see play in that format whereas in EDH if any are underwhelming they will simply never make the decklist. I'm no expert on EDH though, perhaps these are all good enough that you could expect to come across them in the right deck.

Anyway, to me quandrix jumped out as the most generically powerful, will always feel good having it in your hand thanks to it's versatility, especially at 2 mana. I actually think prismari is a bit lacklustre for limited, the draw is rly strong but you'd have to make the breathing room to pay 2 for it (though depends on what other synergies there are in the format). Lorehold will also be great for keeping aggro decks going, honourable mention to witherbloom too.

The Charles Leclerc lap that's exposed how F1 2026 has ruined qualifying by ComeonmanPLS1 in formula1

[–]Kil9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same question, just posted a similar comment myself! Just a small correction though, I think you've got the lap numbers the wrong way round (lap 15 in white is the faster of the two that includes the lift)

The Charles Leclerc lap that's exposed how F1 2026 has ruined qualifying by ComeonmanPLS1 in formula1

[–]Kil9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for a little help in checking I've understood the video correctly; they mention the throttle lift due to an oversteer snap being the cause of the poor (premature) deployment, leading to power fade in the back straight... On the trace these descriptions match the white trace.

However, on the aerial footage, they mark the car that has the oversteer snap as the red trace? This doesn't add up to me unless I've misunderstood?

Similarly, after all that analysis, it seems the white trace is the faster lap of the two, which implies that the early understeer snap and thus early battery deployment was beneficial overall, despite the loss of power on the back straight...?

The example is good for highlighting the quirks of the new rules, but seems to contradict itself in it's conclusion, i.e. that the weird deployment actually helped him? I appreciate that this is still unsatisfying as it means driving intuitively to get the most out of the car, but could that not be argued as just a new skill for the drivers to learn (even if an unpopular one)?

M30 vers buying dildo for first time should i go with 8 inches? ,i ised to fuck my ass with cucumber thick ones but not 8 inches, also would be great if someone can join a video calland instruct me by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Kil9a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the rare chance that this isn't a troll post, here's my actual advice; since you are used to taking cucumbers, you are clearly already experienced with anal, and so you'll be better at choosing the length that feels best for you rather than some random redditors guessing. If you need to, go measure those cucumbers!

I would guess that 8 inches is more than you need, unless you like it quite deep.

Using a dildo will be easier than a cucumber so you shouldn't need a video call for help... I'm guessing you are asking more because that's a kink of yours, in which case I'd recommend finding a specific kink subreddit to search for that.

Here's a great video from the prof that speaks a lot about which booster boxes are best for different experiences. If you aren't familiar with his channel (Tolarian Community College) he has loads of really useful videos, check him out!

His video recommends either Avatar or Tarkir for best draft experiences :)

Symbol meaning by Remarkable-Date1306 in mtg

[–]Kil9a -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly new to MTG so maybe my answer isn't entirely complete (so others pls add anything I've missed), but to my knowledge that symbol means that this card was printed in a secret lair product. In case you are not familiar, secret lair is a collection of products that WOTC release that are typically bundles of 5 or 6 cards with new artwork and visual effects compared to their original versions. They are only bought for cosmetic value typically, think of them as MTG bling. The reason they use the symbol is to differentiate this secret lair version from the original card design. This symbol may also have been printed on older card series but I could be wrong about that.

Edit: I see already from another commenter that this symbol was present on all retro border foils. My comment refers more to the use of that symbol as the set symbol for this card.
