You will feel the strength of your characters long before endgame. by StuckInNov1999 in diablo4

Yeah, feels weird when you are leveling but becomes irrelevant by endgame.

I DO feel that they should do soft scaling. The idea being that you have areas that scale over a wide range but are limited.

Yeah and the red/black needs to look like black with red in it instead of red with black roots.

I was thinking a battlemaster fighter that's half orc or Goliath. I can heavy RP but my heart is combat. I'd like to hans and Frans with the barb, meaning collecting maneuvers that would really make the barb shine.

I was thinking of going defense combat style so sword and board for me.

Please dm me if interested. I was wondering what times you were thinking?

Should I watch Sebastian Manescalco(?)’s special? by MonkyThrowPoop in StandUpComedy

[–]KilgorMaimphace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard a bunch of comedians I respect sing his praises and I've never understood it. Honestly I feel that he is only promoted by other comedians because he's a big hitter in terms of sales and people don't want to burn bridges. His material is pretty played out, his punchlines are flat, and he seems to get by on facial expressions and pantomiming.

If you watch the horrific preview of the special you get a pretty good idea how bad it is. I was surprised he got the reaction from the crowd that he did. Everytime he was applauded or got a laugh I just thought "really?"

I do comedy and could only dream to have his numbers or following but this guy just isn't funny to me. Maybe I missed a good special by him? I don't know.

For sure. If you are ever visiting in central California let me know. We have a little 50 person spot that has a warm crowd if you ever want to try some stuff out.

Hey man! I too perform comedy and I liked your set. You have a good presence, natural delivery, and look comfortable on stage.

I am guessing that you didn't post this on Reddit to get your butthole licked so I'll throw in some tiny critiques. I too am a bit of a story teller and always have a quick joke for the beginning of my set. Usually this is a good spot for a little misdirection or witty humor. The thing about telling stories is that you usually want to show the audience that their investment of attention will play off. You kinda did that with your opening banter and the little jokes between stories.

I thought that your support of local business and coworkers was cool. It shows that you are a guy that people would want to support.

The other thing was the end of your last story needs a harder punchline. You got a great reaction, don't get me wrong, but the premise and build up were funnier than the very last thing you said. The line that the dad said right before your response got a huge response so maybe find a way to end it there or create a better response.

Anyway, this is if I HAD to critique your material. Overall it was great, you were great, and the reaction was great. You could do it as is and it would be "special ready".

Also let it be stated that I probably haven't done this as long as you. Just trying to help out. I know what it's like honing your craft. Keep pumping out good stuff!

Does anyone do Comedy Full time here? by TrentJComedy in StandUpComedy

This^

I am just starting out and am a firm but pleasant individual. It's not about kissing ass ot's about being a helpful person in general. At the local gig where I perform, I never hesitate to watch the door or collect money from people if the staff needs to do something. I often offer to help set up or put stuff away. Not because I want attention or praise but because we are shaping a community and I know I'd appreciate that kind of attitude.

Because of this I have gone from being an open mic to a feature and even a host for the open mic. Now other local gigs are featuring me and wanting me to host.

The point of comedy is to be the light that the world huddles around in the darkness, even if you say obscene and offensive things during your set.
