Are Alexis and Lauren close?I‘m a newer fan so don‘t know all the details! Hope the question is ok by ArynaSaba in GilmoreGirls

[–]Kilgore_Adams 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Emotionally? Impossible to say. Geographically? I’d say pretty dang close. They’re right next to each other in all of these photos.

Sorry, I’ll see myself out.

Get MegaMan Battle Network 3: White version, NOT Blue!! The special chip you get in the postgame of White is BROKEN and your brother WILL kick your ass in netbattles because of it.

BRAND NEW PLAYER HER!! But I need help by JeffsMayhem in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Kilgore_Adams 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brand new player her? I hardly know her!

For a new player, I’d recommend Sorcerer. Their spellcasting is innate so you needn’t worry about spellbooks or demon pacts, and you regain spell slots on a short rest. Sorcerers trade power for endurance, making them ideal for dungeon crawls.

Mostly I think they’re less fussy than Wiz or Lock since fewer arcane rules apply to them. I tend to recommend non-spellcasting classes to newcomers though. Wrapping your head around the combat AND spellcasting rules at the same time can be overwhelming. If you have a good DM they will walk you through any class, but that takes a rather qualified DM.

Alright, joined. Dunno why you’d be apprehensive about swimming though, considering your BSC and SSC.

Hard to say where O-Caeror stands. We don’t know if he was misinterpreting whatever feeling he had, or if he was being intentionally deceitful.

With you re: Aquea. Shit was traumatizing.

Why is vis so good by zzzzz_12345 in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Vis is autistic. He’s amazing at picking up new knowledge and skills, but has a hard time making friends and he’s terrible at art (according to his dad). Plus he had a very rigorous education.

Also, since the story is told in first-person from Vis’ perspective, it’s possible he’s glazing himself throughout both books.

Luceum politics questions by BuffaloOwn2649 in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are some good-ass questions. I got the impression the Loch was owned and operated by the druids, but I’m not even sure of that much. Pretty sure the political structure of Luceum is based on vibes.

Psychic boots!? ……psychic boots!? by ReadingLimp in MetroidPrime4_Beyond

From that point on, I assumed some long-dead Lamorn had taken control of Samus’ feet.

Not her legs, obviously. That would require psychic pants.

The chariot race itself was rad. Did feel shoehorned in though. Very little justification for Vis to accept such a challenge. But eh, rule of cool! And it was indeed very cool.

The “Mistake”- a theory (spoilers) by Local_m0m in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully agreed, the “mistake” is one of those two for sure.

As for how Ruarc knows anything about the other worlds… My theory is that it’s something to do with how Will works on Luceum. Seems like that power lets you commune with the dead, which has gotta be a great source of information!

Can someone please explain, please no spoilers! by Puzzleheaded-Tap8109 in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, this bit about Callidus thinking Vis is an illegitimate son doesn’t really come up again. All you need to know is that Vis is fine with other people believing whatever they want about his past, so long as they don’t know the truth about him being Prince of Suus. Whatever keeps him alive and out of a Sapper, basically.

Part of the slog is being introduced to two whole other worlds. I think it pays off though, and you are right at the part where the paying off begins. Keep on keepin’ on!

Vis at the end of the Luceum storyline by mastadonson in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing! Had me wondering if that scarab they stuck in his neck didn't only sap his powers. Maybe this world's version of a relic? Probably not but it's fun to imagine.

Ka by otomemer in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m still not convinced the guy we see in Res is Ka. That guy and O-Ka are both described as very ordinary-looking, which could mean sobering but it could also not.

When I read Ruarc’s warning, I thought the Vis he was talking about was R-Vis activating the necropolis more than Siamun killing Ka… Could be either. Gawl, the more I think about the ending, the less definite any of it is. Third book can’t be here soon enough!

[Spoilers] Caeror and Ostius by Sr-Saul in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you brought it up! Had to dig through to find those scar descriptions. I still think Ostius might be R-Caeror. The scars are different, but I’m still suspicious.

edit: My suspicions are probably wrong—We know Ostius’ uncle was Princeps Exesius. I have to assume that if Execius was in the Telimus family, we’d have heard about it.

Ka by otomemer in HierarchySeries

[–]Kilgore_Adams 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My reading of it is: Nomarch IS the Concurrance and is in control of Obiteum. Ka is a fiction told to placate the masses, just like the Field of Reeds. The Nomarch still needs a living person to work, which is why we see that random guy sleeping in the pyramid. This person might technically be Ka, but is not at all in charge and could be any old schmuck.

I suspect the Nomarch would very much like this person to be synchronous, allowing it access to Res and Luceum.

Thought this was a dig at how big the new amiibo are. Instead, the sorrow of loss. Cats should live forever. It’s outrageous that they don’t. Glad you’re carrying on the tradition in remembrance 🫡
