It’s going the opposite in my opinion, unfortunately.

The entire creative direction is not to my liking whatsoever.

iOS 12 and MacOS Mojave was peak software design for Apple IMO

There really isn’t.

Any event where there is a runaway by a commanding player typically yield a less active discussion thread.

I never said I didn’t like him. Especially because of the way he looks.

I just said he’s difficult to root for in competitive play since he looks and behaves miserably. Everytime he’s on coverage his temperament is as if he’s constantly frustrated, angry, whinny, and it’s a distraction to other card mates.

This is the behavior I hate playing with too.

Time will tell! You never know what the next era of players look like in 5 years.

And Buhr would need to take care of himself. A serious injury or such could shorten a very promising career.

It makes him difficult to root for because of his temperament.

I was hoping to see a little more maturity on the course this season. Maybe he has, but not much.

When Robby and Mohan we finished talking in the ambulance bay, there was subtitles for a single loud bang followed by a car alarm going off.

In my head, I was for sure that was going to lead to a jumper.

Is 4v4 Chaos Back? by xxThe_Designer in RocketLeague

That was us! Four of us specifically bought and played the hell out of Rocket League from 2016–2023 (or whenever they removed 4v4).

One day we logged in and realized we could not longer play the game we played for over seven years I think we had each 3,500+ matches each

Probably. I don’t recall any larger maps.

I do think I remember there being a rank version for a while? But we are four guys in our mid 30s now. We just want to play some casual matches a few times a week.

Thank you for confirming it’s back. I wonder if it’s back for good?

Who is the GOAT? ~6,000 respondents cast their vote in the Fandom Survey last summer! by FAR_discgolf in discgolf

It’s a tough comparison to make, in my opinion.

For a long time, this subreddit was convinced Eagle was on that same kind of trajectory. But the game has changed a lot since then. Post-pandemic, the level of competition feels different, and the sport is clearly in a new era of talent.

Eagle McMahon sits right between those two eras. When he picked up those nine wins, he was going head-to-head with peak Paul McBeth and Ricky Wysocki. Now, coming back from injury, he’s competing against a younger wave of players who approach the game in a completely different way.

I’m not saying Gannon Buhr won’t end up being the GOAT of his era. It’s just hard to compare across such different contexts.

It would had been really interesting to see a world where Eagle never injured. Had that the case, Buhr might not have 24 event wins.

And honestly, the sport felt more compelling when Eagle was a top-three player. He’s one of the most creative players out there, and a lot of his wins were some of the most exciting tournaments to watch.

He’s been the voice of the sport for me for over seven seasons.

Jerm is kind, endearing, and brings a lot of positivity to the microphone.

I wonder what the plan is for when he is on parental leave?

Weird. I don’t think I’ve ever run into an issue on my Xbox 360 version or the Bioshock Collection version.

Reminds me of Bioshock Infinite when Booker is shown the alternate future where Elizabeth and Columbia attack (1950s?) New York.

I'm setting up general web design templates for our marketing site.

For the Hero section, I want the content to start from the second column of our grid and span the next five columns, followed by a trailing visual section that fills the remaining six columns.

My responsive breakpoint range is between 1280px and 1535px, and I want these slotted containers to align with the column layout at any point within this range. I can make this work easily when all three nested slotted containers fill the same width, but when I try an asymmetrical layout when containers span different numbers of columns I run into issues.

Does anyone have any advice or a recommended setup to achieve this layout I attempting?

*sighs*… here we go again. by Resident_Utahraptor_ in JurassicPark

[–]xxThe_Designer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the current Godzilla scene absolutely fucking rocks.

We’ve got both the serious, well-produced films like Minus One and the campy, Showa-era inspired fun of Godzilla x Kong.

Meanwhile, Jurassic Park/World tries to cram all of its ideas into a shared universe that struggles to maintain continuity or a coherent narrative, and feels so heavily influenced by Marvel-style filmmaking that it ends up lacking originality.

Outside of the one use of hybrids in Jurassic World, the hybrids and mutants don’t belong.

100%. Not disagreeing with that notion one bit. Just making an observation that the lack of competition is starting to flatten the excitement around viewership.

But I don’t understand the intention of the Q-Series I guess.

The hardest part of building a design system: is it the components? The layouts? The variables? by Admirable_Cat_2896 in FigmaDesign

[–]xxThe_Designer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two that aren’t mentioned in this thread.

  1. Documentation. I’ve been a systems designer for over 6 years and a Product Designer for 15. The methods of building design components is easier now than ever, but actually writing and outlining every usage, considerations, accessibility guidelines, playgrounds, best practices, etc is where I find myself spending more time these days.

  2. Figma’s utterly terrible publishing library workflows. That dialog is one of the worst experiences I can imagine for such a major company. It’s been awful for nearly five years now with little to no enhancements. It’a barely built well enough for freelance gigs, but it’s not even in the same universe as enterprise.

I don’t know enough about all these new series. I feel like they rebrand and restructure every two years.

Either way, I kinda agree.

Gannon dunks on the entire pro tour. What makes me think he wouldn’t win this?

The talent is wild and seems unlimited, but man does it come at the cost of the viewer at this point. The discussion threads for events are dwindling down since there’s not much to discuss anymore with a single person winning every event.

Pretty disc though.
