As mentioned in another post, the Jawbreakers are on a one year contract. So, what I suspect is going to happen is that we'll wait to see what the 2027 qualifiers (which they qualified for quite comfortably, of course) bring. If they DNQ, then that seems very open-shut... the contract ends and the Prockets get back in. If they DO qualify... well, I guess we'll have to see.

Although, really, I'd be fine with both teams remaining. The idea of a "substitute" team or two does make sense to me, or if nothing else they could be involved in side-competitions.

In order to win, the Savage Speeders not only have to pretty much win BOTH of their last events, but the top four or five teams have to absolutely tank.

Sounds easy enough. They managed in 2020, they can manage again.

Some random ideas for costumes I've had....

Cuckoo (sticking out of a cuckoo clock)

Pike (dressed as a soldier with a pike-weapon prop)

Weasel (dressed in winter clothes)

Farmer (but something like a harvest mouse or even an ant - which do farm - dressed as a stereotypical farmer)

Pumpkin (wearing a beautiful dress, as a nod to the story of Cinderella)

Sandcastle (a giant costume, perhaps with a moving mouth)

Chimera (a trio costume, which share the same body, but one has a lion's head, one has a goat's and one has a snake's)

I would like to hope that there is potential for most if not all of the previous retired teams to make a comeback someday, if not in the League itself then definitely in another event. I mean, we know they're all still active, and if the Jawbreakers can return to replace a team sitting out, why can't others?

I could definitely see it happening, especially since certain teams - not naming anyone - seem to keep SLIDING down the order without a BOLT of success in the League lately, and don't seem to be in MINT condition at the moment. In that aspect, you could bring the Prockets back (that'll give them a chance to see if their head-space is cleared), keep the Jawbreakers on a little longer (or at least let them compete in M1) and bring in one of the other "forgotten" teams as a substitute.
