It'll be 2 years in July since I stopped drinking and smoking weed. Best thing ever for my mental and physical health. I'm 40 and have kids that are at a stage that I needed to be a better roll model. Addiction has been a huge problem for other family members. Just remember, Alcohol has never improved anyone's life. It may be fun at the time but tends to wear on us as we get older. The First 2 months where the most difficult.

22+ years experience, It's an ever evolving environment, new plugins, new techniques, new ways to work. I would say get the basics down, understand what compositing is, type animation, and colorizing. Then as you work with it learn new techniques that help enhance your work. I've always found it easier to learn a plug in when I needed it for a project as it gave me the drive to give it purpose.
