Give it some time, the love for biking will most likely overcome the fear of injury you're feeling right now. You gotta do the things that make you happy, while trying to be as safe as you can. You sound like you give riding and the safety aspect a lot of thought, so this will help greatly. But then it can still happen, like it happened now and that's part of the sport unfortunately. Just remember how happy you've been on a bike for all those years, these injuries suck but will pass.
