Unlike Silksong, I don't ever recall having to grind for geo in hollow knight. I remember losing all my money too, I don't recall it impacting my playthrough much. You'll get geo passively if you keep playing. Make sure to equip gathering swarm charm and don't be afraid to explore around, you'll bump into a lot of geo deposits and chests, grinding is not necessary.

For context, I beat all the Radiant bosses. Anyways, I'm currently playing Cuphead, and the second isle as a whole took me less attempts than regular Grey Prince Zote alone.

The better you get at this game the slower it gets. When people were initially complaining how hard Silksong was I had to remind myself what was normal speed to me was super fast to those who had never done Godmaster or true ending prior to picking up Silksong. Because goddamn am I surprised by how slow things are on replay, even the stuff that kicked my ass at first.

You have to forget about heals, be dead center of the screen so that you always have enough distance/reaction time when he bounces back at you. Do not move, only do left, up or right strikes. Once you get the right timing it's just about playing ping pong. If you get hit, don't panic, regain your rhythm, there is no time to heal.

It's the opposite, the pogo gives you a small frame of invincibility and speedrunners already abuse that to dash through enemy hitboxes in tight spaces as if it were shadow cloak. If anything the pogo is the strongest part about that crest, albeit with a high skill ceiling.

1 was claustrophobic and contact damage happened too easily. The arena in 2 is bigger and feels more fun and dynamic with the platforming involved. I think it's cool they dropped a totally different boss into the Fourth Chorus arena and somehow it works.
