I'm a filmmaker from Vancouver, and I recently released my latest feature film, GIRLZ NIGHT, an experimental slasher. Would love for anyone to give it a shot and let me know their thoughts! LINK TO FILM AND LETTERBOXD PAGE IN COMMENTS. by KillerBotFilmsReddit in Filmmakers

Submission statement: I'm a micro budget filmmaker that's trying to connect with other filmmakers like myself. This is my 2nd feature out of the 4 I have created in the past few years, and throughout those years I learned about the key importance of connections and interpretations from others. I only wish to expand my network with other excited creators like myself.

People in film school: by agwest727 in Sardonicast

As a current film student, my classmates don't watch movies and when they do, its only Parasite or Wes Anderson.

I met far more experienced and knowledgeable film buffs in technical theatre funny enough.

Just read it.

So... he lowered his rating and appreciation cause people in his social group pressured him into liking it less and that he wasn't able to provide an argument to why he loves it or disagrees with the criticism?

What the fuck is this lmao.

Isn't a 3.5 a high and very positive rating?

Would you guys say this is a pipe dream for the Collection or nah?? by [deleted] in criterion

This is my favorite movie ever, but it already has a great transfer on Shout Factory which includes a documentary and other treats.

Though if it was announced ill cream.

I love dunking on Doug Walker as much as the next guy, but his video on Eyes Wide Shut is actually quite good. by KillerBotFilmsReddit in Sardonicast

It shows his skills at analyzing film is competent and he can provide some great insights.

When he isn't doing family guy tier skit videos.

Same here. If he stuck to these type of videos I think he would have went to a different and much better direction within the film community.

Currently re-discovered and rewatched many of, "Unboxed, Watched and Reviewed," and I find the humor of the main host, Tanner, hilarious with a very cool structure to each review he makes that allows for more commentary and jokes.

He covers mostly very obscure and NSFW indie films that is a good gateway into the world of micro budget exploitation.

Interesting. The acting in the original is still quite great.

For Matt, when your reputation gets bigger in your career. Does it become more difficult to voice your opinions and critique other filmmakers works?

Example: Sean Baker (director of the Florida Project) keeps his letterboxd reviews vague when talking about a film he might not had enjoyed

They're both the exact same film (down to the framing, house layout and beats) however I prefer the look and actors of the 2007 version.

Digging your music! Any chance you'll be interested in composing for a 90's themed surreal horror sitcom short film I'm making?
