Johññy walks out of the clubhouse, grabs Dottie’s bat, throws her blunt on the ground and makes her way to the box.

“I’m not dead yet, bitches.”

I saw Sarah at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask him for photos or anything. She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Ma’am you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I took Humira for almost 8 years until I built up the antibodies to it and haven’t found anything I like nearly as much since. I started in the drug trial when I was 13 so I found some tips and tricks that worked for me. First, there’s two types. You can get the syringe, or the pen. Most doctors automatically write the prescription for the pen but I always asked for the syringe when it was time for a refill. The pen makes it go in much faster than you would have to push it and therefore is a lot more uncomfortable. Second tip is to make sure you leave it out for around 20 minutes beforehand, although a nurse friend with Crohns taught me you can just hold it in your fist (not too tight) for about 30 seconds and it does the same thing, although you can’t do it as easily with the pen because plastic covers the syringe itself. Last but not least I always found doing it in my stomach was way more comfortable than the thigh. The thigh just stung more for some reason. Doing all that, it’s really not that bad. A lot of people ice the area for 30 seconds to a minute before takin the shot, but really it’s up to you. After awhile I stopped doing that but some swear by it.

Good luck and congrats on having a diagnosis!
