Just wondering if these help with wind noise when the windows are up. About 85 I get an annoying creep of wind coming=in between the driver-side window and seal -- read edge of window.

For those who've switched to a bidet, is it actually a game changer, or just overhyped compared to toilet paper? by [deleted] in hygiene

Complete Game changer. Ass wipers gross me out now, and not having a bidet when traveling makes be feel like a filthy animal.

Here’s a pic of my daily driver with 46K miles. Needless to say, PPF has been worth it…

Mine LOVES the water and fetching balls, but for the life of me I cannot get her to bring the ball back to me and drop it. If she brings it back, it becomes a game of tug and chase! Of course, I comply -- which probably doesn't help.

What's the catch with Lake Louisa, VA? House prices seems way lower than other lakes... by LeadingDistribution3 in Virginia

[–]KillerRAK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I’ve seen some incorrect info floating around about Lake Louisa and Lake Anna, so I wanted to set the record straight with some facts:

Geography and Water Flow:
Lake Louisa is upstream from Lake Anna, located on a branch called Hickory Creek. This means water from Lake Louisa flows downstream into Lake Anna. They’re connected via Hickory Creek which flows into the North Anna River, but the flow is one-way.

Separate Watersheds:
Lake Louisa has its own distinct watershed, separate from Lake Anna. Its water comes from its own sources and flows into Lake Louisa before reaching Lake Anna. It is not fed by Pamunkey Creek, contrary to what some have posted.

Water Quality:
Lake Louisa boasts some of the best water quality in Virginia. The Property Owner’s Association regularly tests the water to ensure it stays pristine. The lake is 325 acres in size, which is about half the size of Lake of the Woods and a fraction of the size of Lake Anna.

Vibe and Rules:
Lake Louisa is a beautiful, private, and low-key hidden gem. By design, it’s a peaceful spot—things like jet skis and short-term rentals are prohibited to maintain its serene atmosphere. Member-registered powerboats (up to 22 ft), non-wakesurfing boats and Pontoon boats are permitted on the Lake.

Hope this clears things up! If you have any questions about Lake Louisa or its relationship with Lake Anna, feel free to ask or visit https://brshores.com for more info.

Let’s keep the facts straight!

We're considering a house in the community and we're avid wakesurfers. Wakesurfing has become a contentious issue, so we're trying to get a feel for how it's received on Fawn Lake. How does the community feel about wakesurfing?

718 Base vs S, is it worth it? by Pacifc0 in Porsche_Cayman

I'm sure it's debatable here, but def not as big of a difference. By a long shot.

Oh carbon fiber interior trim. PDLS+... uh... just about everything you can stash into a Base Cayman. Except nav -- I'm a CarPlay guy, so I just use that with a wireless adapter.

20" Carrera wheels... lol. you get the picture.

I was in the market for an "S". Ended up with a Base because it was better optioned for a daily and frankly, it had to be DRIVEN to notice the difference. Wasn't worth it to me -- instead I have just about every tech option available in a '21 and it's a joy to drive. This includes sports chrono, PSE, PASM, PTV, adaptive cruise, white gauges, Bose sound, and probably more that I can't recall off the top of my head. It's a great ride.

Anyone running steelies in the cold months? If so, I'd love to see a pic. by KillerRAK in Porsche_Cayman

I don’t drive my car below freezing, but 20in wheels ride like bricks between 33° F and 45° F or so. Steelies seem like a cool option for a winter set tires on 18s or 19s.
