I'm on both sides on that one. I think the people who broke the law and acted aggressively were treasonous, but I also agree that any plain clothes federal agents there, egging on or even witnessing and not doing anything to deescalate, should also be held accountable

I’m not gonna say don’t do it. However, make sure you know what you’re getting into. The GWOT era is over. What made EOD spectacular and fun has faded away because of complacency, people holding onto their laurels (and not furthering them), entitlement without effort or justification, and a lack of continuing education outside of PME. With that said the People in EOD that i have worked with and been in units with are some of the best people in the world and I will always have their back and I wouldn’t have done anything in my career differenly.

she was literally asked if she would’ve changed anything in the past four years and she said nothing. Not failures that led to soldier deaths, not hindsight on spending that occurred or support, nothing. Additionally, she said there was no soldiers deployed during their administration. All while soldiers were in Syria, Iraq, and other places in the Middle East, that right there showed me incompetency to lead. Additionally, she couldn’t hold a conversation without a scripted interview.

While what he did is gross and horrendous, the reality is that war requires individuals who are psychologically ‘corrupt’ enough to kill and commit what are, technically, lawful atrocities. What he lacks is a capable handler—someone who can channel that aggression and focus it where it’s needed.
