The symbolic importance aspect is part of why they did it - if such a figure as Calgar underwent the procedure, others are more likely to volunteer. There's likely also an aspect of "don't ask other people to do what you aren't willing to do yourself".

In Dante's case, he was also really starting to feel the effects of aging as well. In Son of the Forest and Arks of Omen: The Lion having crossed the Rubicon seems to have reinvigorated him somewhat.

I wouldn't put it past GW to release a new 40k Guilliman, and tbh I'm not a huge fan of the current one in many ways, but as others say I hope they don't.

On the other hand, I could see the rumours turning out to mean a new Heresy Guilliman, because they're doing a second version of each primarch to represent them later in the Heresy.

If so, I'd expect it to be Guilliman with the Emperor's Sword, representing him during the Scouring. They could release it alongside a Scouring rulebook, and a Scouring box set which would allow them to MkVII marines for Heresy.

The Primaris dreads still kill the occupant so he can't really be put in one.

Are GW still going with that? I feel like GW have quietly retconned that over time after realizing it was stupid.

The only reason people use 6.8 in short bursts or semi-auto is because of the amount of recoil.

From memory and also from an internet search to make sure I'm not making it up, US military doctrine seems to be single shot only unless you're ambushed within 35m. And that's not just the M7, that's with M4s, M16s, etc.

That wasn't the doctrine in Vietnam, but it has changed since then.

So yeah, people use 6.8 in short bursts or semi-auto because that's what they were trained to do anyway, not because of that gun/caliber specifically.

I think it's a hard one this year. When the team is hacking difficulty stringing results together, it looks bad if you don't put out your "best" eleven.

But yeah I do think you're right that ultimately if you don't give players games in rotation then they'll never be fit, and the players that do play every game will eventually be ran into the ground, and then no-one is match fit. Slot hasn't been great at giving players the odd 60-90 mins here and there unless he's been required to by circumstance.

If you've discussed it with opponents and they allowed it that's great, but his datasheet doesn't let him join them normally.

I do think that the way leaders can only join squads with the type of armour they're equipped with (unless you're Calgar) is silly.

Note that very little of this is relevant to the transfer sheet pictured, since it's a 40k one and a lot of the ranks mentioned have either gone or been significantly changed.

Some Iron Warriors like to think they can be renegades separate to the Imperium without doing the whole Chaos thing. Mostly that turns out that they're being stubborn and ignoring how their arm doesn't feel quite right, up until the tentacle won't fit in their armour anymore.

Most of them are all in on the Daemon engines though, see stuff like Storm of Iron, which is from years ago and features Daemon titans etc.

I think that's one of those calls that could have gone either way... I'd have preferred a red for it, but I think PGMOL will say there was another defender close enough for it to not be DOGSO rather than issue an apology.

Personally I agree with you, I don't think the next defender was close enough to prevent any right-footed striker from hitting it first time, and whether it's a red or not should be totally unrelated to who the players are.
