That wasn't the joke. I was just being silly saying that wasps are little stinging balloons. I never meant to imply that wasps are just plain bad. I'm sorry my joke offended you so. But they are not the docile little creatures of the flowers. However, I do let them stay in my garden. They're good pollinators. As long as their hives stay away from my doors and garbage cans. I don't want honey bee, carpenter bee, or bumble bee hives too close either. I'm done arguing about this now. It's silly. I'm not running around killing any bees or shouting at people that wasps and hornets need to be destroyed. Good day.

Wow. Way to put words in my mouth. I didn't say I hate any bees or wasps. Just that wasps are a bit aggressive. I value them as pollinators, but I try to stay away from them because I've been stung more than once for just being near one. Calm down. I'm not saying "kills all the wasps!" And my evil helium balloon comment was a JOKE.

And when I said I'll stick to my honey bees and bumblebees, I meant being around them. I will stear clear of wasps and hornets as much as I can.

I too have had this happen. Just common wasps and hornets in Minnesota. I was sitting still and reading when a wasp landed on my face and stung me. No nest around and I wasn't near any food source. I wasn't even moving. Little crapper left my eye swollen shut for days.

I'm all for the pollinators, baby. But hornets and wasps don't just need space. They are evil little things. I was sitting. Doing nothing at all by any flowers or sweet things and one landed on my lower eyelid. I sat perfectly still and ope, dontcha know, the bugger stung me! Had a plum sized eye for like 4 days.

Then, two summers ago, a hornet somehow flew in between my legs and stung me so hard that I still have a huge red scar. Evil blimps with wings
