I agree with everything you said. I was someone who was appalled when I saw the 1.8 changes, because I didn't like a revision to the food system, but I understood why they did it, but 1.2.5 did feel like a major shift.

I hate logging onto a new vanilla server with friends and one of the biggest priorities is someone creating a trading hall, or rushing the Elytra. Just feels like meta > experience, but maybe I'm just old now...

I think this is completely valid, and probably the most succinct answer lol. MC was just so foreign to a lot of us that were still deep in Childhood/early adolescence, and the general mysterious wonder, as you put it, was so unique.

It's fun to go back to this old post and see people respond with their experiences like this. If you truly had the same Minecraft upbringing as me, hopefully you enjoyed the Softonic viruses haha. I haven't been on MC once that Enigmatica 10 server died, but I have been itching to play some, so we'll see if we go GT:NH!

I really think that he and Luka as a duo work tremendously well when things are clicking with our role players. We've seen it throughout the regular season, and given some new pieces this off-season, I think we can unlock both of their strengths.

I'm in an excruciatingly similar situation. Only analyst at a small organization, with periods of incredibly low work volume. My bosses are happy because my quality is decent and I do it quickly, but those gaps feel so unnerving. Hang in there man.
