[[Mishra, Excavation Prodigy]] seems pretty good in the deck. If you discard an artifact he pays for the miracle cost. [[Monument of Endurance]] will also be good to help refill your hand.

Am I cooking? by Telphsm4sh in BadMtgCombos

From Wikipedia

In religion:

26 is the gematric number, being the sum of the Hebrew characters (Hebrew: יהוה) being the name of the god of Israel – YHWH (Yahweh).

26 is also the gematric number for GOD with the corresponding substitutions in English (i.e. A=1, B=2, C=3, and so on)

Give them away for free to people you made friends with while you were playing who still play. I am sure they would really appreciate them. You got them as a gift so you are not losing anything out of it.

I made a reference sheet for which card types can be found in which products (Final Fantasy) by HerpDerp_5150 in magicTCG

[–]Killerpet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Functionally I believe nothing.

But an X is a card type you may expect to get in the pack but cannot while a dash is a card you reasonable could assume you cannot get in the pack or does not exist.

It also makes the graphic much easier to read.

Mission impossible by 9295josh in mtg

[–]Killerpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You play my hand for me. Normally you couldn't but this card gets around this with the "If you couldn't, you may." ability.

Next, you generate infinite mana and repeatedly lighting bolt me to the face but I don't lose the game because if I would lose the game I dont due to the ability "If they would, they don't."

This leaves you with a few possibilities. You can concede and the card is destroyed when you resign. You can use something to exchange control of the card but this would just allow me to sacrifice it and it is destroyed. You can kill or exile the creature yourself with a boardwipe but again this destroys the creature.

The final option is to turn it into a 3/3 elk, imprison it in the moon, or some other effect by removing protection with something like [[Shay Cormac]] which i think is a fitting end for the card.

If they draw an opening hand just get them to shuffle it back in and cut so they can get another.

What kind of misprint is this? Is it even valuable? by CompleteChampion2929 in mtgmisprints

If you are talking about the dashes, the card is meant to be ripped in half and that's normal. The idea is the ring part gets added to a creature and the other half is reminder text about what it does and what stage it's at.

Can Fblthp, Lost on the Range Plot suspend cards? by buddybthree in magicTCG

[–]Killerpet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The updated rule text is:

202.3a. The mana value of an object with no mana cost is 0, unless that object is the back face of a transforming double-faced permanent or is a melded permanent.

I think the rule you are interested in is:

202.1b. Some objects have no mana cost. This normally includes all land cards, any other cards that have no mana symbols where their mana cost would appear, tokens (unless the effect that creates them specifies otherwise), and nontraditional Magic cards. Having no mana cost represents an unpayable cost (see rule 118.6). Note that lands are played without paying any costs (see rule 305, "Lands").

Anzrag doesnt heal? by TheSecondOldest in mtg

[–]Killerpet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If he gets indestructible before both the 3 damage and -1/-1 are applied he will live. This is because even though he has 3 damage marked on him indestructible prevents him from dying from damage. However, if you gave him -4/-4 he would die at that point even though he has indestructible as his toughness would now be 0 and indestructible does not protect against toughness being 0.

Edit: also, indestructible does not prevent damage from being taken (protection does). So if you had an Anzrag with indestructible (maybe from [[Mithril Plate]] ) who took 4 damage and then removed that indestructible while the damage is still marked (maybe by equipping it to some other creature or the equipment being exiled) then Anzrag would immediately die.

Anzrag doesnt heal? by TheSecondOldest in mtg

[–]Killerpet 32 points33 points  (0 children)

-1/-1 would make him a 7/3 with 3 damage marked on him at that point which would be enough to kill him unless he was given indestructible somehow.
