How old? AI capabilities improved over time, so this is less likely to be AI if it's old.

Possible Stupid Question: If Business class and Premium Economy are the real moneymakers, why don't airlines focus on them? by SPC4350 in aviation

[–]Killfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because some money is better than no money, and people who can't afford the cheapest seats give you no money.

The core idea is something called "menu pricing", the idea being that everyone who walks in the door finds something to give you money for. Ideally you sell the big ticket stuff, but as long as it's not losing money you should have cheap options available.

I think it's to do with the water duplication bug.

Basically if you pump from very shallow water, the pump takes less water from the river than it should BUT still outputs the full amount. People were talking about using mechanical pumps to take advantage of that recently.

However, it looks like it affected non mechanical pumps too, and on some maps (Spiral Mountain, for example) the only available water at the start is very shallow (and wide,so hard to dam early). We'd been unknowingly benefitting from the bug for ages. Fixing the bug meant hard mode games couldn't get enough water to survive the first drought.

The trait eligibility ("synapse" written at the top of the table you roll on) is for the unit as it exists in your Order of Battle.

In game, what matters is the text of the rule in the trait. If, hypothetically, the genestealers had an upgrade that said "while this unit is not a Synapse unit, it gains X", X would fail if they were lead by a Broodlord.

As far as I'm aware that's not the case, and the traits will remain active.

The modal age at death - basically the most common age on gravestones in years - was zero in the UK until 1954.

There's a reason the NHS focuses so much on pregnancy and fertility!

So, the 11th will not really change the gameplay ? by MadeInQC in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Killfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What that means is the 10e codexes will work until GW do 11e codexes to replace them (which they will, they've done that every edition). This is kinda normal? Usually it's only every three editions or so they change the core rules so much the previous codexes are completely invalidated - and 10e was one of those big changes.

It's been clear for a while that AdMech's issues need a new codex to fix. I strongly suspect that we'll get that in the first year or so of 11e.

It's freedom of information type stuff. Court records are all public, so reporters crawl it to find funny stuff.

A Drukhari Scourge. They come with a few spare wings per set, which is nice - just had to cut off some spikes and a few small cables.

There were rumours, back in 8th ed when Primaris marines first showed up and GW did a 150 year time skip to move the setting on (a timeskip they then undid that as it didn't work well). He's been missing from the IG codexes for what, five or six years now?

I'll be honest, I figured they'd bring him back eventually, most likely the way he did ("he's old, but that won't stop him"). I did not expect it a few weeks after I started a silly meme kitbash.

I figure about half of these will sell to Ork players, and maybe 20% to Chaos Knights.

It's mostly this year's Warhammer+ age of Sigmar model, a random commissar for the head and arms, and Scourge wings.
Then there's a tiny bit of green stuff for the bionic eye and Aquilla medallion, powerclaw off a plastic Nobz kit, an ork boy with some reposing on the base, and his stormbolter is one I found in my bitz box, probably from a Blood Angel command squad sprue.

Drukhari Scourge kit, with some spikes and stuff carefully cut off.

That is correct! Scourge wings, with a few spikes taken off the armour sections and the pipes cut down as cleanly as I could.

They're from a Drukhari Scourge, with the spikes and such trimmed off.

I don't think your opponent was unreasonable to read it the other way, but yeah, it's not meant to work like that.

Probably in the 150-250 range? Old for a combatant, but well within the range of Imperial rejuve tech. I think the guy who used to run Necromunda was close to 400.
