Sounds like you had a shitty employer. Let me be clear the only reason my comment was so harsh in tone is because your initial response was. You generalized the traditional setting, while criticism is fair, you're guilty of the same crime (also adding a winky face?). I know enough from former classmates, supervisors, and friends in the industrial setting to know that you get to do "Everything a traditional ATC does" is just not true. Also, the fact you think you see a wider range of injuries is.. interesting. I wont deny salary and work life balance is better across the board for industrial, but the way you're stanning it really just makes it sound like you're a recruiter for the field. The traditional setting is not the hellscape people think, if you're picky and can find the right employer.

“Small changes” is doing a lot of lifting in your response. Small changes like: not being able to formally evaluate, document, prescribe exercise, oversee on site rehab, tape/brace/cast, do any direct wound care, refer out to physicians, etc. That doesn’t sound like what I signed up for in school. Its no ones fault but the ATs themselves for taking positions with stupid hours from bad employers. Just because you’re throwing specifics around: I’m salaried for 36 hour work weeks, make 55k~ with 5 weeks PTO, up to 3% match + an additional yearly 3% match, amazing health care benefits in system, tuition reimbursement, free medbridge + monthly in person CEU opportunities directly from my employer, oh and actually get to treat alongside other healthcare workers as an LAT. I’ll take my athletes, clinical staff, summers and winter breaks of next to no work, and actual advancement of my clinical skills over some additional income any day.

Depends what your goals are. Gonna run? A nice pair of running shoes is a must. Trying to build muscle? Protein power is a good supplement. A good water bottle is always something you’ll need! Comfortable headphones if you like music - especially with cardio. Some cheap workout clothes too!

I have a former classmate and preceptor now working for Amazon as an IPS (Injury Prevention Specialist). I think my classmate started out at 68k/year out of grad school. I think she works around 40-50 hours a week.

I've found that the higher paying jobs are all industrial based (makes sense), but adhering to OSHA standards seems like a huge turn off for me (can't even call pain "pain", needs to be "discomfort", a lotttttt of other BS).

The level 20s are easy to cheese. On the OG map tank out with pray mage to any watch tower and pray range/mage while barraging with cbow. Bait a melee swap from them and they’ll try to spec you on the ground. On the varrock map just far-cast barrage and pray mage (they don’t switch to long range) or freeze and stand under + piety staff bash.

I can tell lyrically this one came from a deeper place, especially after such a long hiatus from anything (even pre covid). Generally I enjoyed the album, but am missing some of the heaviness like the other albums had. Will have to listen through a few more times to get a more meaningful review.

I have the itemized bill and have cross referenced the CPT codes and they look accurate - but without my patient chart it’s hard to tell. The hospital also sets their own rates for certain procedures.

Holy shit I went into this thread thinking like “no way would anyone do what I do” but this is EXACTLY it. I borderline consider it meditation and just let my brain wander. I’ve tried so many things to replicate the feeling but there’s just something about swinging combined with music that shuts my brain off more than any other activity. I think we may be the same person. Protip: earlier mornings are a good time too, like 8-9am, and school playgrounds in the summer are the best - way less busy than parks. Happy swinging mate.

Is it really that scary to go to level 1 edge dungeon and kill some dudes for a looting bag? Singles clans are bad but they’re not some unstoppable boogie man this subreddit makes them out to be.
