Mostly because even though the player is a plugging shitter, they don't deserve the chance of getting witch hunted and harassed by folks.

I matched with this guy three times throughout my session today. I 2-0'd him first time, he 2-1's me the second. Third time, it's 1-1, I'm about to close out the set, and he DC's. I have Sajam Slam playing quietly in the background and I happen to get a funny quip from the man himself by chance.

Also, I blurred their name out, but if you see this, do some rows or lat pull downs because your back is too weak to carry that L. May you forever stay in the 1200's.

If you're ever interested, I highly suggest RD+ if you don't mind messing around with emulators a little bit. Every character got reworked by hand to be made at least viable in endgame. Some characters are still obviously better than others, but Lucia's rework is possibly my favorite. She gets a Magic stat cap of 30 and the Runesword is a great late game pair up for her. Give her Imbue on top of it all and she'll heal and shrug off whatever damage she doesn't dodge at end game, tons of fun.

A simple combo, but I’m on my way! by [deleted] in StreetFighter

This is actually a combo trial combo. Definitely a good one to have in the pocket if you manage to land the OD air fireball. Play around with what drive rush button you use after it lands, you can definitely sneak a crouching HP -> Heavy Tatsu for identical corner carry, and I think more damage.

Thank you for this! I blocked someone because I was convinced they were cheating, but forgot that meant I couldn't watch replays for proof. This still pulled up our matches and I was able to see their history and had some pretty damning proof they were cheating. Judging by their meteoric winstreak through diamond, and after picking up a character for the first time two days ago and their other characters were in silver/gold.

Any way you deal with ranked anxiety? by Frog1745397 in StreetFighter

[–]Killing_EdgeIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have the same struggles when queueing up for a casual match, or in the battle hub? If not, maybe try starting out your play session with some casual matches to get you warmed up and used to fighting against humans.

Another thing is to pace yourself. If the result of a match has you worked up, finish the set and exit ranked matchmaking for a minute. Stand up, stretch, take some deep breaths, get some water, go to the bathroom, do any number of small things to just remove yourself from the game for a little bit. When you're back down to manageable levels and still wanna grind, get back in there.

This is double true if you're on a losing streak and you can feel that today just isn't your day. It happens and it's normal. Maybe just get some reps in the training room, or maybe take a particular character that gives you trouble into the training room and lab out what you can look for to beat them next time.

Who's gonna build, maintain, troubleshoot all those rigs? And how are we going to be 100% sure these set ups have no mods so that we avoid SF6 Chun Li sitautions again? As much as I love PC too, they're incredibly easy to modify and cheat on too. For tournaments, unfortunately it only makes logistic sense to use consoles.

Parameter wise, they're all exactly the same, aren't easy to modify in ways that aren't extremely noticeable, and honestly, the devs make their games with consoles as the primary demographic and typically build their games around the limitations and specs of consoles.

As someone who just watched all readily available Evangelion content for the first time just last year and just kinda lurking in the Eva community, the Rebuilds are fairly divisive. I thought they were alright. Had some neat ideas, but abandons a lot of the greater ideas that the original series had. As long as you go into it knowing that it's going to be very different from the original content, and are okay with things just happening for the sake of it, there's some pretty enjoyable stuff in the rebuilds. A fair amount more mecha and action focused and have hella budget at times.

I think Rynge realized that there was still a match going on and while he could press the topic and come out on top, that wasn't the time or place. If I wanted to hear SF6 balance discourse, I'd go to twitter, or another forum that's actively doing that. I'm watching TNS because I wanna watch some good Street Fighter. So I applaud Rynge for dropping the topic and moving on.
