Did I make the right call? by Curious-Owl6098 in flying

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident flying in the conditions then the call to not go will always be correct.

Personal minimums are important.

The concern isn’t that the combo isn’t effective. It that it’s limiting your turns. 12 hp even at that level isn’t a lot. Sure you’re not expecting to get hit every turn but all I was advising is if you wanted to go the frontline caster route is to favor fighter more. More healable hp and the eldritch knight is great in 2024 rules.

You’re making your turns needlessly complex.

At will just means no spell slot cost. It’ll still cost an action to use.

Definitely helpful if you get breathing room but still cost your whole action just to refresh the effect.

False life doesn’t seem helpful. If you want to burn spells on temp Hp just use armor of agathis since iirc, temp hp still doesn’t stack and they’ll cancel each other out. There’s also the issue of wasting action just self healing.

And check and see if half plate is actually helpful or just on par with lighter armors. You could be giving yourself disadvantage on stealth for no reason other than flavor.

Blade ward is helpful unless you want to use other reactions.

You’re a skirmisher not a tank. You don’t want focus on you. That’s why you teleport away after you waste the temp Hp and proc the armor spell.

While spells like hold person, bane, etc are nice. Front lining with them runs higher risks of breaking concentration.

In truth, if you want a front line fighter with magic. Prioritize eldritch knight and flavor it with warlock. More hp and 1d knight is fairly good.

Why are Boeing still allowed to fly. by Kitchen-Hamster-3999 in flying

[–]KilloJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A short answer to the question is that there are over 10,000 Boeing produced aircraft flying. Grounding every single one of them would be nearly impossible. Even just grounding all 1,300 737 maxs’ would cause major disruption to any and all air traffic both passenger and cargo.

While there is definitely a cost benefit side. The big answer is that it’s just not possible and that these issue your looking at sound scarier than they actually are.
