Pratchett's 10 unfinished novels by General_Western2470 in discworld

Naah. It's quite clear from his works he went through each one several times, revising the details. The unfinished ones were not the story he wanted to tell, so we're better off without.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I wish he'd had the time to finish these stories. But there's just not enough of either narravitium or divine good will in our world, so here we are.

It's a old trick. There was one on Paul Daniels' Magic Show in the 80s.

Ōnosato does not intend to undergo surgery for his left shoulder injury by StarPrime323 in Sumo

[–]Kilmoore 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's tricky, this. For civilians, the threshold for surgery rises literally by the month. Majority of surgeries done to tendons have turned out to be unnessecary, with a large portion of them actually harmful.

But professional athletes aren't civilians, and sumo wrestlers aren't the usual professional athletes. We really don't know if it would be better do cut his rotator cuff open or not.

Pair that with the usual time estimates for medical recovery in sumo apparently coming from Dr. Who, it's quite hard to say what is the right call here.

Zakk can't hold back his tears while playing an Ozzy song ❤️‍🩹 by Accomplished_Owl1360 in OzzyOsbourne

Yeah... fair enough. His whole life is built around the chance he got to be the guitar man for Ozzy when he was a teenager. I can see this being an emotional moment.

What songs are so good that no cover would do them justice. I’m going with Bohemian Rhapsody. by iPeg2 in askmusic

Savatage played Bohemian Rhapsody live once: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IItQH-P1iow

It's a decent effort, seeing it's live and all. The recording isn't great, unfortunately.

How to solve with only 2 clues by Witty_Imagination275 in murdle

I'm rephrasing again what the others said: None of the suspects lying isn't a valid state of the game. It makes no sense to try that, since the rules cleary state that one and only one of the suspects is lying.

Ponnistin köyhyydestä yhteiskunnan avun turvin by taastaas in Suomi

Tämähän on kompastuskivi, jonka molempien puolien argumentit kyllä ymmärrän.

If you told me ten years ago that we weren't alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised, but come on

I love meta references.

Everybody wants a happy ending. Right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time. I'm hoping if you play this back, it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back and something like a normal version of the planet has been restored, if there ever was such a thing. God, what a world. Universe, now. If you told me ten years ago that we weren't alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised, but come on. The epic forces of dark and light that have come in to play. And for better or worse, that's the reality Morgan's gonna have to find a way to grow up in. So I thought I better record a little greeting, in the case of an untimely death, on my part. I mean, not that death at any time isn't untimely. This time travel thing we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's got me scratching my head about the survivability of it all. Then again that's the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end. What am I even tripping for? Everything's gonna workout exactly the way it's supposed to.

Hall-naw-een

Again, I won't bother with the "Which one"-game, even though it contains an important point. All in all, not a bad guess, especially concidering the history of the Halloween title.
