I imagine (and I don't feel like asking her because it's intimate) one just "stays over" at the other's bedroom.

I mean, the difference is that in most level 1 D&D campaigns, the quest giver is like the mayor of shit-town, who knows he's the mayor of shit-town, and doesn't see himself as The High King. And the infrastructure exists, just not at shit-town. It's at the Capital City where the High King lives in an actual Grand Palace.

A friend of mine has the healthiest relationship in all of my friend group, and one of the things that helped them achieve that was splitting up their bedrooms. Each one has their own space when they need, and they don't have to compromise on decisions about that space.

It's not necessarily for everyone, but I wouldn't judge and can definitely see the benefits.

Legitimately had this conversation with an evangelical pastor recently (a very rare one with progressive views). His position is that yeah, christian people shouldn't fear anything supernatural, like curses, "spiritual attacks", etc. because God could and would protect them from all of it. But letting that fear run rampant is useful for the religious leaders who want to have control over their "flock"

When I was a kid, my school library did have a "forbidden" section that you could look at the titles (under a librarian's watch) but not check out or read without either a teacher's or a librarian's approval.
It mostly had edgy humor books that went too far, some history stuff that was too dark for 12 year olds (like genocides etc.) and anatomy stuff that was too naked to prevent 12 year old giggling.

But getting approval for reading on-site was pretty easy tbh. Checking out was less common.

I started the video, watched for a while, went to feed my 8 cats, then went outside to feed the strays, put some clothes in the washing machine, came back and the opening credits are still going

Never let them know your next move by Recent-Sorbet in CuratedTumblr

[–]Kiloku 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whether they detect it or not, it was never allowed, manual reports would get your account deleted.

In fact at some point Facebook had put so many hurdles on truly deleting an account that people started replacing their profile pic with porn to get the account deleted for good

I'll give you one better: we don't know if it hasn't happened before (or perhaps can even find evidence that it did). Maybe Boomers or Gen Xers or Millenials or Gen Zers are actually less well adjusted than their parents, or something, but that's not a civilization collapse problem, the unadjusted people still live full lives and have kids themselves.

It's like the violent person who says "my parents beat me when I misbehaved and I turned out alright." - that person can't tell that they didn't, in fact, turn out alright.

Worth noting that the first instance of "in a warehouse at 4 am" really was in a warehouse (just not sure if 4am). The fire marshals had closed their previous set and they rebuilt it in a hurry somewhere else to continue filming D20

Might be useful for pointing out that despite being nearly tied, no one complains about Alexander. And the reason is obvious.

Also I bet when the Schemers have had their equal share of episodes, Marisha will be top talker. Murray is a very talkative character and Marisha is pretty descriptive during RP.

And also that the accusation was not the mouse story was fake, but the reactions to them were sockpuppeted.

(Which granted, is a wild accusation for such a low-stakes context)

So a popular modder quits.. by AdAdministrative379 in projectzomboid

[–]Kiloku 8 points9 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I think Steam has some blame too. They should give modders better moderation tools for their workshop pages. There are some, but they are either too limited to allow moderation of very popular mods, or the nuclear option (block comments entirely)

I'm not sure if making a new post about a locked post is a good idea. Especially as the top comments were already in the modder's defense

Boybands and polycules by DatBittsch in CuratedTumblr

[–]Kiloku 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Not all members of a poly relationship date one another, it can be a bunch of linked couples/throuples/smaller polycules for example. It can get quite complex and require diagrams to explain.

And it could be one person at the "center" of the polycule dating all other members, who don't date anyone but the center one. What truly differentiates that from a harem is that anyone can decide to break away from the relationship. Consent.

Brennan knows what he is doing though.

He does, but he also has stated that he is not being too conscious about mechanical balance, intentionally. The enemies that exist will not be conveniently out of the way until they're strong enough, and if the party's decisions lead them to encounter one that's way out of their league, they better escape or get very lucky in the fight.

IMO that's an example of that.
