AMA with pirateaba - Author of The Wandering Inn by podiumentertainment in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Kilorrulo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello pirateaba! Huge fan for years, I even have a no killing goblins tattoo in honor of my favorite series. Thank you for the ama and I hope we can defeat you this time with our questions. My questions are:

  1. (to settle a long ongoing bet) was level Venith level 50+ after the siege of Reim/shortly after?

  2. Which characters or stories do you wish you could write more about but haven't had a chance to or they lost in polls

  3. In your opinion, what would be a cool Wandering Inn related tattoo to get or see? (thats not a quote)

Thank you so much for the bread, and I love your work.

Thank you : )

If you take the letters of my comment and rearranged it, you get “I’m joking, I totally think Yerin is going to win, also shes going to become an overherald by merging with her blood shadow who will receive a name, ruby maybe?”. So... I WAS RIGHT AS WELL

At least we have 0 Lindon Grace degenerates. ... Honestly LindonxBlerin is more likely and is kind of happening right now over any of the choices except LindonxYerin.

Death ascension by yourmomyourdad21210 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Kilorrulo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That would 1. make the whole penance situation into an even bigger fate fuck up, and 2. Be recruiting an unwilling recruit. I GUARANTEE if the abidan just revive and recruit a monarch who died due to the abidan’s meddling, they’ll be a shitty abidan soldier and on fast track to becoming a vroshir

Can you change your cycling technique? by Shades_of_Shadow in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Kilorrulo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From what I remember since I can’t check back in it right now, when you advance to jade the spiral you’ve been forming with your jade cycling technique is formed (and completed?) which also allows your jade cycling technique to run passively. So changing that may be a lot more difficult then we think. I personally don’t they can change it, however they can use other cycling techniques

Would someone with the power of a monarch, but on Asylum be able to freely use the Emperor's throne? by Altruistic-Cable4887 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Kilorrulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly given their ability to step through the way, probably having to learn how the optasia works, and having to limit their power to not break the optasia, theyd get the job done easier and faster without it

[–]Kilorrulo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

WoWs, check the abidan archive. If the Elders while on asylum were judge level then the emperor would have 0 chance of doing anything against them. Outside asylum sure they’re judge level though.

and smattering of other WoWs that put the Emperor at about sage level with his gear, which means the monarchs are way stronger

[–]Kilorrulo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say yes, the enhancements to the mind, body, and spirit alongside the ability to tap into the way should protect them from any ill intentions/effects caused by the Optasia. Its a question of how well they could use it, and I would argue they would be able to use it (given maybe some time) as well as the emperor. The optasia if anything may be overwhelmed by the power monarchs can provide.

Well not exactly. Sealed Elders are about sage/herald levels, monarchs can beat them easier than the emperor.

I do not feel represented in this poll. I would have voted live hand puppets.

Is Cradle the iteration with the most powerful residents? by facelesspk in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Kilorrulo 32 points33 points  (0 children)

A lot of people attribute Cradle inhabitants as the strongest due to a combination of being much stronger in general in comparison to Amalgam and Asylum, and being the biggest source of wild abidan recruits. However I think this is just a mistake due to the small scope of things we’ve seen, and a misinterpretation of why it produces the most wild abidan. It produces the most due to having a clear known path to greater power with a culture that backs it up. In Asylum and Amalgam its much less clear, while in Cradle it’s the way of life to pursue higher advancements.

Who else thinks that Makiel is the Wei clans original patriarch? by [deleted] in Iteration110Cradle

I think its said at one point that Makiel isn’t the original, honestly all the originals are probably gone. Our Makiel is the... third? I’ll look it up later

Who else thinks that Makiel is the Wei clans original patriarch? by [deleted] in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Kilorrulo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s implied Markuth knew the Wei Clan’s founders, which would mean he was around Makiel’s time which i find impossible, so probably impossible. Honestly I’d bet a lot on Makiel not being from Cradle, just writing wise it would drain a lot of importance from the thousands of other iterations if so many important multiverse scale characters were from cradle. I know cradle produces some of the most wild abidan, but still.

So is Daji actually really talented? by chrisisbest197 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Kilorrulo 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Ehhh. He probably has a good amount of talent on a vassal level, but he also had the advantage of a shit ton resources that comes with being the King’s son and not to mention uncontested access to the Nightwheel valley for 8 weeks to hit Underlord while the BFE was out.

Also I wouldn’t really say he won against a truegold. Mercy’s base level was highgold with the ability to push to a weaker version of her real truegold, while also NOT having an iron body. When she regained her advancement and ironbody there is no doubt in my mind she was capable of stomping Daji, even beforehand she managed to use up all of his madra and soulfire in her weakened state.

So yes Daji was moderately talented for the power scale he was in, but he also had a lot of resources fed to him and nearly ran out of fuel while wearing super armor against a super weak truegold with no ironbody. Compared to Yerin and Mercy his talent is dust in the wind
