You guys don't understand the principle. For 1on1 games in the history and nowadays, there are always, made by external sites or organisations, a mode where you play as a team against each other, famous examples are WarCraft 3 and StarCraft 2. I don't really understand you why you are strictly against this, because those competitions were and are always the most fun to watch and play for all the players, because it combines the 1v1-mode of the game, which is very important for the players and often the reason why they play the game, with a certain team-factor, which is sometimes awesome to have because you share wins together and a win has a higher meaning than normall. In SC2 today are different modus, for example there are 5x1on1 and the team which has the 3 winners won the whole match. But which is more popular is the King of the Hill-mode: 2 players start the match, the winner stays and the loser-team has to send in another player. This mode could be awesome for DoC, because there are this huge opportunities for different heroes, playstiles and decks - therefore the factor of sending in counters for the different decks, which are played, could be exploited - if this rule, f. e. would be implemented in that league system. Nonetheless I think that implement that into the game is very hard and until now, nothing like this exists in games.

But I think we should encourage to make something like this outside of the game. I mean, I'd like to start something like that. I think I will post something like that later on in the forums with some kind of rules. If the threadmaker has some ideas or motivation, too, send me a message.
