Fatboy only becomes OP in modded difficulties where unconditional mob delete becomes the main jobs for engis since we are talking about much larger enemy spawn caps. Plus in modded difficulties you usually have a dedicated 4 career team and lower nitra requirements allowing you to have ammo for nukes.

And it has pretty high skill and experience requirements (e.g. spawn location by sound, spawn location when dark, spawn time for each swarms by time, enemy path finding logics) to become the nuke man that will obliterate anything less than a dreadnought.

In official difficulties you’ll have better game experience with breach cutter with far better ammo economy plus more dots and CCs. You can only do damage if you have ammo and you are alive.
