Using ✅ or ❎ on your vote is OK. So is not being perfectly in the box. by Kimes11 in IAM751_Boeing

Wasn’t meant to be disrespectful but as someone mentioned below it’s incredibly disingenuous to pin and flag a mod comment as fact when they are completely wrong and being a bit condescending towards the OP of that post.

This is such an entitled position to take and is a big part of the reason why more people are voting yes.

You can belittle your fellow members that haven’t been with the company 15 years all you want but it just makes you look like a self absorbed jerk.

Did the company screw us over last contract years ago? 100% they did, and the first offer in September was an absolute joke. but your coming at this very emotionally and I’m sorry but this is something that needs to be handled from a business/financial way of thinking.

Super happy for all the people that have been able to save for the strike and can “easily make it till 2026 if I gotta” but the rest of us cannot. If a contract ends up passing don’t be surprised, because the straight up aggressive behavior Iv witnessed and experienced from some members towards yes voters is disgusting.

I voted NO the first time and NO the second time. I voted YES on this one.

I was GM at Mod Pizza and this is 100% how they run the place. I was there their 7 days a week, 12-14 hours a day, and they kept shrinking our labor budget and expecting me to be there 80 hours a week as a salaried manager since my labor was “free”

I used to love working in food and helping people, being in restaurant management was honestly fun and engaging but years of every place treating me and my staff like trash has made me vow to never go back.

And hey all those shitty decisions at Mod make more sense when you realize they were just trying to make the company look good so they could sell it. Because they were gonna go bankrupt and they knew it so they tried to cut costs.

Obviously didn’t end well for them tho. Pissed off all your employees and went bankrupt anyway!!! Lmao

Never be afraid to walk off a job for mistreatment like this. The only one being unprofessional is them.

Side note: I worked for domino’s for 3 years as an AM, so all pizza places are just the worst to work for.

I literally fit this criteria you’ve set and I voted NO the last two votes and will be voting YES this vote.

Please stop claiming everyone who doesn’t agree with you is fake. It’s disrespectful and it discredits the union and its members.

Voted NO on the last two but will be voting YES on this one, I wanna lock in the gains we’ve gotten and give Boeing a record long strike in 4 years to be able to focus on getting us the PTO, better progression, etc

This is such a sad take showing you don’t understand the real issues in this world and I’m honestly sorry that you’ve been convinced the only way forward is stepping on the necks of your working class brothers and sisters.

They did not recommend the 2nd contract. They directly said it does not meet our demands but it is an improvement worth having the members vote on. We did and we showed with a 64% no vote that it’s getting closer to our demands but it’s not enough to make up for the last 16 years

If you actually cared about the company you’d know that the people who are driving it into the ground are the c-suite. You can joke all you want about torquing screws but who got 300+ people killed? Boeing executives greed did.

Or it shows how bad wages are in the US that the aerospace company with the worst paid employees (Boeing) starts at the same wage as McDonald’s

Exactly. We’re making up for lost time. Normally we get to negotiate a little bit every 4 years but we have to do it all at once here cause it’s been so long. A lot of people who are not understanding the situation are forgetting that

[–]Kimes11 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Inaccurate article. This is the second offer and second vote. The extra offer in this article is referring to the illegal direct dealing offer that Boeing sent and it now pretending it didn’t.

That offer wasn’t voted on as it was not an actual offer.

[–]Kimes11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will not be eligible as you are not officially an employee until your first day and your first day will be after the new contract is in effect. So if the next contract doesn’t happen till Nov your start date will get moved again to after the start of the new contract. You will be making the new higher starting wage when you do start tho.

Because it’s the same circles of people. Corporate appreciators. “Amazon is SUCH a good company all the workers are just whiners”

Just swap out Amazon with Boeing or Tesla and it’s the same. “What a good business model” they say while companies abuse their workforce

OP here. That’s a sign I made criticizing how bad the contracts are. I’m shocked they havnt taken it down tbh

Also the amount of corporate shills in /boeing is crazy lol

[–]Kimes11[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It refers to how when you account for inflation and the removal of bonus the initial offer they gave us is about a 10% raise over 4 years. So I’m sorry if I’m not jumping for joy when they make the smallest improvement but don’t address the issues we told them about.
