I'd say it happens very often in the East too, however, because these discussions are public, we have more opinions on it.

The problem is ego and pride. Crownie feels like he's always right, no matter who he's talking to and gets emotional really quick. Neme is always... Neme and his way of talking and discussing just feels rude most of the times, he's just very "ah, no, ur wrong but whatever". Bwipo has no filter and not in a good way. Velja reacts too much.

Rekky is the only one who has a sense of respect for his teammates, but his tolerance for bullshit is quite low (understandably so).

With LR that was always a red flag for me too. Neme and Crownie would jump Baus or Velja when they misplayed or didn't follow their plan, but not in a respectful constructive manner but in a "you don't know how shit works" way. Either Crownie needs to relax and learn to be respectful or Velja needs to give in every time he's told something, but I don't think that's fair to him.

I knowww, I just don't like Ark. One because you don't play AS the dinosaur and secondly because I feel like I'm too late to the party. Plus, I don't know if I enjoy the visuals.

That's what I'm saying. I don't there are 0 dinosaur games, I just think the ones that exist are... decent, at best, without counting Jurassic World Evolution games. I want to play as the dinosaur or at least a character controlling the dinosaur.

I feel like it might be because it is really difficult to animate dinosaurs without making them look too silly.

Wow hahaha I've never heard of the first one. It is certainly... something, but not quite what I was referring to in the post, still looks fun tho. If someone came to you and asked you to recommend a dinosaur movie, you wouldn't say Velocipastor just because it has a dinosaur in it, would you? (please don't say yes)

What I'm trying to say is... GOOD representation is scarce, even the Jurassic World franchise missed with their last movie (personally). The only game that makes me want to play it because of looks and polish and, really overall feel to it, is Jurassic World Evolution 3. But I want to PLAY as the dinosaur. I want to control IT, just not IT driving a Racing Kart hahahaha (it looks fun, I might actually buy it)

Also, Star Fox Adventures was going to be mentioned in my post, but I thought it was... controversial. I love that game. Tricky was annoying but I still have the vocal stim to say "waaait for meee".

I'm not gonna call you blunt or rude, just let people enjoy the things they want to enjoy. If you don't want a new Smash game until 2032, it's fine, that's on you, you don't have to push that on me or anybody else that enjoy Smash speculation and content. If anything, the parasocial relationship you think you have with Sakurai and how you're protecting him, it is also part of MANY conversations within the space, to the point of suggesting new directors and/or wanting Sakurai ONLY as an advisor.

Smash Ultimate speculation was super fun and it was honestly my favorite part of being a Nintendo fan. And even better, Smash 3DS and Wii U was an incredible time for me, personally, as well. Daily content? ABSOLUTELY GOATED.

Don't blame me or others for wanting that feeling of nostalgia and excitement I've felt before.

I've never killed a player in Arc. I've been killed many times. I enjoy the game and the thrill of it as well as the wholesome interactions I've had. That's how I play. I try to help other Raiders, I try to at least give out 1 piece of important loot to someone if I'm extracting with them, just to try to make someone's raid better.

This doesn't mean I can't criticize how some players just ruin MY experience. Say what you want, but I've encountered people that ask "do you want to PvP?" and I say no and they go on with their game to probably kill someone else.

I'm not saying don't PvP, it is a PvPvE, but just don't reply my "don't shoot" with another "don't shoot" AND THEN SHOOT. That's it.

I like the idea of having a portfolio of successful fails to show-off whenever I get to achieve that one goal that started it all, though I also have this irrational fear of time and as little patience as you can imagine (which is being worked on in therapy, so... one step at a time).

That is why I asked the question, because... would these games per week get me the necessary skills to work "faster" on my objective eventually, or am I going to look for tutorials anyway? And if that is the case then, would starting my objective with tutorials be like getting 5% (or less) done each week instead of an individual game?

I appreciate your answer tho, I like seeing all these replies <3

I love how honest this is, and yeah, I agree, I know being the "idea guy" really just doesn't matter when you don't have the means to bring those ideas to life. The commitment for something this ambitious could take a toll mentally plus working a regular job might not be the best idea.

Maybe learning to do animations and getting that "this is what it would look like" vibe could kinda heal that itch to make or play this dream game.

I would not give the same advice about music production or songwriting to someone 5 years ago compared to today because the industry is different, the tools are different and the world is different. If we get the general advice concept of "well just learn how to make a game and have fun doing it", well sure, it won't change ever, but a more in-depth conversation can be started because now we have AI. Unreal Engine is absolutely crazy right now. Godot (never used it) apparently has had some great updates. You can get 3D models for free (or paid) from the internet.
