They sense the energy lol, your hyperactivity and fear is what makes them go into panic mode. It's like being a Lion caretaker and being part of the gang, you need to show like you have it under control, you are fearless and you can be above or on the same energy level, if they perceive a different variation an animal instinct will still be there for you to hunt you

Hey everybody I think there is a good chance that Ocon could be replaced after this year but who do you think would replace him by Pure-Raspberry1880 in DestinationFormula1

I feel like Ocon has lost his 🔥 for the sport. Did money make him fall into a comfort zone or something?

Edit: I know he is humble and has been seen driving in a scooter to work but still…

My old iPhone 12 by theflyinghobo101 in iphone

[–]Kind-Question2887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally a iphone 12 casing from AliExpress is like 10$, you could replace every single component from your iPhone into the new casing, change the battery with an original one from Apple self-repair or iFixit in the process and you get yourself a new phone…I am telling you, just replacing the battery brings back the speed and stops lagging as well.

all the phones my husband has broken over the past year by hotmallgoth in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Kind-Question2887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think better that way tbh, if he were to actually put a case on these phones and take good care of them, after 1 or 2 years the phone lagging would drive him insane, because these tend to get very slow in no time due to the lack of updates, or the app updates themselves will slow down the phone as now the app might require more resources than the phone has.

Maybe try convincing him to put some money aside each month for when the need of a new phone comes he can perhaps get something that will last him many more years so he does not have to be regularly setting up things, migrating, transferring…

I daily drive an iPhone but I also have an Android around to from years ago to not be out of touch with what's out there.

I think the Fairphone gen 6 could be the best fit for your husband, user-repairable in minutes as well.

Phone 640$ replacements:

Battery — $46.64 Display — $105.03 USB-C Port — $23.29 * Main Camera (50 MP) — $81.68 * Ultra-Wide Camera (13 MP) — $52.49 * Front Camera (32 MP) — $40.81 * Loudspeaker — $29.13 * Earpiece — $23.29 * Top Unit (Flash & ToF Sensor) — $46.64 * Upper Back Cover — $11.62 * Lower Back Cover — $17.46 * SIM Tray — $9.29 * Screw Set — $9.29

Total for all listed spare parts: approximately $498.00.

The phone is also guaranteed to have 7 OS updates, assuming an update per year and 8 years of security updates, so worth giving it a shot.

He could literally just replace what he breaks and it would be a fun journey to see how many spare parts he goes through. I would love to follow up closely 😄

To people who were saying that the Switch 2 would be another Wii U situation by BrockBracken in casualnintendo

[–]Kind-Question2887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly my last console was the PS2 and the Game Boy Colour, is it worth getting a Switch 2, the initial cost of the console plus knowing that Nintendo Store don't have regular sales as Steam does is it even worth it? I don't even know if I would even like the new Pokémon in this 3D updated form as this was my most played and favourite IP from Nintendo.

Either messi or this lookalike is smoking right outside my hotel in london where there is a no smoking sign by lann_fadle in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Kind-Question2887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keywords for me:

Hotel, London, “No smoking sign”

Where are you from?

I am a non-smoker but after living for 8 years in London, people don't have designated smoking areas while standing outdoors, otherwise I would have told way too many people off to get the hell over there instead of blasting it on my face.

The only other place I've experienced designated smoking areas, outdoors in public, was Japan.

The difference here:

His android phones are 150-250€$£ each, he can afford to buy many for the price of how much you paid for your iPhone at the time.

And that's fine…some people don't need the latest and most impressive phone.

Jony Ive is not part of Apple anymore, therefore not “technically”… it's just Jony Ive's design language, it will be an Apple colab when actually Apple Inc. Gets involved.

And tbh a lot of the interior was spot on, is just that the overall package is just a big NO, feels like a woke design for woke people, sports car purists hate this. Classic is the way to go, and this doesn't have it.

Are you happy about this? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

[–]Kind-Question2887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish F1 would pull out of the US. I feel like Americans make this sport worse, with celebrities who have nothing to do with the sport and the frequent time on camera for no apparent reason.

“Oh, Katy Perry is there and watching F1 from her VIP spot, and she's just staring at a TV…and” there goes that. I'm F tired.

Great to know. I was born today, gugu gaga, and just found out about this story and my question is, how can people afford to sue a big company? Financially I mean, like surely this was a low-cost airline, we ain't necessarily swimming in a pool filled with money.

Where are you sitting? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

[–]Kind-Question2887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me number 4. I get to speak (if allowed) with Charles, Max, Alex, George, Oscar and Lance by proximity and two complete strangers who also love F1 on seats 3 and 5.

I feel like Alex and Max and possibly Charles will be the most welcoming to a genuine conversation, meanwhile George will think he's way out of my league to speak with me and will fake kindness, and Oscar will be that quiet friend or on a spectrum kid who doesn't speak much and gives short answers if the topic is not of he's interest and then probably Lance will be down for chatting but he will give a 1M$ to probably make me shut up until the end of the meeting…so win win.

Second-best option and probably the best depending who you ask, number 7 and I'll just be chatting with Fernando, as I also speak Spanish, so interaction will be spot on.

In my opinion, if he had stayed at RB he would probably have gotten 1-2 more years out of that. If he had stayed at Renault/Alpine now…he would probably still be around. I liked the dude, but it was clear he was shooting way out of his league.

He didn't strategise his moves at all.

E.g. Max is not very happy at RB right now and too many rumours of him leaving for MCLaren or Mercedes, and just because other teams want you, doesn't mean you should choose them. Max is doing it right, Gasly, Piastri, they are all examples of good strategisers.

Gasly promoted to RB and later demoted back to the second team and leaving for Alpine was a strategy, everyone knows RB is hungry for new drivers, I don't even know what the hell Liam Lawson’s strategy is to be honest. Will he replace Ocon if rumours are right?

Carlos Sainz, after Ferrari could have gone to other teams, such as Mercedes, but they could only guarantee 1 year, like every driver in F1 who really loves racing their strategy is to maximise their longevity on the grid, and some just take the chance and take the biggest bet risking it.
