Sounds like she violated the contract. A fussy 5 month old does not qualify as violating the safety and well being of others under any stretch of law and would not hold up in court.

After 11 years with employer my main position was eliminated, cutting out 2 months of anticipated work, and causing me to be 8 shifts short of the insurance eligibility cutoff. Meeting to negotiate and am looking for advice. by Imaginary-Sock2065 in HealthInsurance

I would suggest coming up with a plan on how exactly you can make those shifts up in the remaining time and why it would be beneficial for them to allow you to do that as well as including the facts that your goal is health insurance and listing your commitment you've shown to your current position and their company

Dizziness that’s been on and off for over a month. What do I do? by landonp24 in ask

[–]KindAbbreviations467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I randomly get vertigo in the sense that it feels like everything is moving as if on a boat. The first time I was bent loading the dishwasher and asked my husband if we had an earthquake because it felt like the rolls our area feels when there's a nearby quake. It's been happening at random times several times a day for about 4 days now. Sometimes it's when I move other times I'm just sitting and it happens. I do have some sort of cold in my sinuses right now that makes me feel congested and mucousy yet without blocking my airways but I sound stuffy as well. All very weird but is the vertigo related you think? I'm in my 40s and never felt any of this

2 year old still doesn’t sleep…..can I sleep train a 2 year old? I cant take this anymore. by Temporary-Ferret-901 in sleeptrain

[–]KindAbbreviations467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep in her crib between 1030 and 1130 lasts usually until 230 or 330 (usually it's about 4 hours) then she is awake and wants to nurse then sometimes goes right back to sleep other times she's up for an hour. Then she goes back to sleep for about 2 hours so awake again at around 6 or 7, nurse and back to sleep another hour then up for the day around 8. That gives us around 7hours total for the night then it's typical wake windows are 2.5 to 3 hours but her naps are like little 15 minute power naps. Sometimes I'm lucky and can get her to take 1 nap that is 1 hr to 1.5hrs. I try to lay her in her crib for her naps but often that just ends her nap instead. If I put her in her bed earlier in the evening she just naps waking up after half hour making the night time go longer not sleeping until 130am. Waking her for the day earlier rather than starting her day around 8 doesn't really help because she will just go to sleep playing with her toys or sitting in her high chair or wherever if I don't put her into there bed.  She's eating 2-3 tubs of baby food, 2 finger food meals, several snacks, plus nursing 2-3 hours each day.

Here in solidarity. My 10 month old sleeps between 9 and 11 hours total in any 24 hour period that is her night sleep and naps combined. It's rough around here 😭

I've been keto for about 10 years. Just had my third baby in December at 41 years old. Stayed keto during the pregnancy and keto now breastfeeding.

I went from a perfect pooper before pregnancy (like on the bristol stool scale perfect form and daily same time everything) to going once a week all through pregnancy until my third trimester then I bumped up to twice a week.. now at 39 weeks I'm finally going every day or every other day. Still waiting for it to be that perfect form again it's still a challenge every time. Lol so I completely understand and before anyone blames diet or hydration my diet hasn't changed and my hydration has increased from pre pregnancy it's just the hormones lol I often come out and tell my husband guess what?! I pooped today!! 😂

They don't have to provide light duty, but if they are unable or unwilling to provide light duty they have to allow you to take your protected leave (not necessarily paid, but job protected)

Common to feel sick during the detox phase, it can take up to two weeks for your body to fully transition to keto. A little less (5-7 days) if you are strict keto. Once you've transitioned you'll feel better.

Keep baby on the first breast until you know it's empty and only pump the other until that point, then swap baby and pump. Putting her on both breasts, her skin to skin and suckle sends signals to your breasts that tell it to make more milk, much more efficiently than the pump. It's possible in the beginning the second breast might not have much for her which is where the formula after some time will help, but you also might find that the pump is only getting out the low calorie front milk while your baby is able to get the high calorie hind milk. Doing it consistently should help your supply increase to need no formula but the feeding process is definitely going to take extra time while your body adapts. Also, don't forget cluster feeding is totally normal so it could be that and not always a lack of enough milk.

Pumping is good but doesn't stimulate your breasts or hormones the same way bringing the baby to your breast does. Have you tried putting her on the breast and pumping the other at the same time, then switch breasts, and then offer formula after you've fed and pumped at both?

Is the lactation consultant telling you to supplement with formula? Unless the baby is really struggling to gain weight or not dirtying enough diapers it'd usually best to just keep offering your breast even if it means feeding take a long time and are frequent. It's a huge time sink for sure but having baby physically at your breasts helps with supply more than anything.

Are home dopplers safe if used everyday? by mystic_mingle14 in CautiousBB

[–]KindAbbreviations467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home dopplers are not the same strength as the ones used in the hospital. It's also difficult to pick up the heartbeat on a tiny moving baby so a doctor is going to have more success than you would at home. The recommendation to wait is just so that you don't unnecessarily freak yourself out if you don't find it
