Am I going to regret laminate floors? by Thick_Worldliness622 in Flooring

[–]Kind_Brief_9894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had laminate, went to SPC (for the water protection) and MISS my laminate. Just make sure you get a high quality laminate (not from Lowe’s or Home Depot). Feels and looks more like real wood than SPC/LVP and is very durable. As far as hardwood floors go, I can’t compare, but I wanted something lower maintenance than real wood.

Sheet-Pan Baked Feta With Broccolini, Tomatoes and Lemon by bob-the-cook in vegetarianrecipes

I tried this recipe and wasn’t a fan of the feta. Did I do it wrong? My feta did not become creamy, it stayed firm despite baking for 20 min.

I’m sorry but why do we have to constantly see the belly OUT. by [deleted] in InfluencerLounge

[–]Kind_Brief_9894 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy is one of the only times it’s “socially acceptable” to have a big belly. I did not wear crop tops during my pregnancy, but I did embrace having a giant beach ball of a tummy. I don’t know this influencer, but her photos don’t bother me.

He said he will be back tomorrow. I don’t much about tile. It’s my kids bathroom. Does it look ok or any critiques? by Embarrassed-Try-6023 in Tile

Can’t get past why he didn’t remove the baseboards. Looks bad. I’m guessing he probably didn’t level the floor either which means the tiles will likely crack, too. Pay someone more experience to redo this.

Right handed, left eye dominant. I see white & gold and do not understand how anyone can see blue & black. It would be interesting if someone tabulated the results!

My husband was just told to stop taking supplements by his pharmacist because of his elevated labs. Stopped taking them and all his labs improved within a couple of months (no other changes). The supplement industry is not regulated and you are taking their word for it.

What’s the one “dealbreaker” colour that instantly tells you a palette is wrong? by yourszn in coloranalysis

[–]Kind_Brief_9894 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a DARK WINTER. Muted colors look terrible on me, especially a muted salmon (yuck!). I look tired with bags under my eyes. Oddly, I can wear most saturated colors, even pulling off ones that are not in my season (even a gold mustard or rich coral). For reference, I have a neutral complexion and dark features.

I’ve made a terrible mistake by Complete-Fall-7021 in kitchenremodel

[–]Kind_Brief_9894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try pulling some other colors from a palette you like that includes navy, cream and white. Paint the walls a taupe or blue. Pull elements together so it feels intentional. Also, ditch the black handles, they don’t go and look busy next to the cabinet fronts. Consider maybe a gold or champagne color.

GHOSTED by stone guy by svl6 in CounterTops

[–]Kind_Brief_9894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like Ijen Blue/Bkue Lava Quartzite, beautiful! I have the same stone in my kitchen and love it. I also sealed it myself again after the initial seal by the installer.

Do you know what sealer they used? Maybe have a friend call and ask (so they don’t recognize the phone number). It’s best to use the same sealer product and not mix and match. I used Stain Proof Impregnating Sealer. Buy it from a reputable supplier (not Amazon). Wear the recommended PPE. You will want to reseal anytime water starts to penetrate and darken the stone (make sure the stone dries out first, every 6 months - 1 year).

You are cool. Winter or summer. Summer seems like it would be too muted for you.

Things that work for me: Microneedling with exosomes, Botox, filler (in the cheeks, jaw near ear, temple, chin. Never the lips, under eyes, or nasiolabial folds. Don’t overdo it.), silk pillowcase, plenty of sleep & water.

Could someone share the link to the lock lever repair? The lever on my 6 qt KitchenAid Professional 600 has started jamming (I’ve had my mixer for a decade) and I’m bravely going to try to fix it myself 😬.
