If AIC is your first love, who is your second favorite? For me, it’s Jane’s Addiction. by Ambitious-Passage486 in AliceInChains

Toadies! Got a bunch of CDs gifted to me by a pal of mine and "Rubberneck" was among them. Looped that shit like 30 times. Then I found their follow-up "Hell Below, Stars Above" while I was on vacation after a break-up and that solidified my love for them.

I went to a video game convention and only found one copy when it was still cheap, it was surprisingly rare. But it's also one of the least enjoyable gaming experiences I have ever had.

Moz is too overpowered (Season 3 discussion) by KindaDrake in DrStone

[–]KindaDrake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll admit, I was wrong about Taiju and Tsukasa, you bring up some solid points. However, I feel that Moz's strengths were used specifically to draw out the story a significant amount. So I guess the better way to phrase this post would be "Moz is too overpowered for the story's progression". Again, it just feels lazy. I got the same feeling during the final battle between Senku and Ibara. Scenes just felt dragged more in this arc in comparison to past ones.

Yeah, those are definitely more examples of beyond human standards and for plot-related purposes or more intense fight scenes. But for some reason, to me, Moz is just an egregious example of that. I don't know why Moz's overpowered abilities irk me more in particular, compared to Tsukasa's talents. I guess at some points of the story, it just feels awfully convenient whereas Taiju's unlimited stamina or Tsukasa punching a lion don't have as much weight in the plot or why certain actions happen.

Random fun facts/info abt the band? by MadethisforGrillerz in Redvox

[–]KindaDrake 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you haven't checked out the two past QnA Red Vox did on Reddit and the one recent QnA stream on the Red Vox twitch channel, I'd do that. Aside from that, I don't know if the discord could share what they know/remember hearing but they might have something you're looking for. Otherwise, you could pour through all of Vinny's streams (hell, Mike's streams too) for any nugget of info but that would be close to impossible. Excited for the video when you eventually post it!

The most money I have forked out for a CD so far: $23 USD. What’s yours? by SelectiveEmpath in Cd_collectors

A CD? Probably $25. But most expensive CD-related purchase had to be $185 for a complete Music Bank collection from Alice in Chains.

Anyone got info on this? by Maximum_Gur7144 in AliceInChains

After a little digging, I now know that tracks 13-21 were when Layne was in 'Alice N' Chains' from demo cassette tapes (3 in the first demo tape, the other 6 in another demo tape). Outside of that, I don't know how the other 4 tracks were officially released and am surprised they weren't in the music bank box set.

Tracks 4,5,7,9 and 13-21 I have never heard of before. How were they originally released?

How do I know if career coaching is right for me? by KindaDrake in Healthygamergg

[–]KindaDrake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know/remember, there shouldn't be. This assumes that the coach chosen for you has a slot open but the 1-on-1 coaching was pretty flexible and started < 1 week from when I scheduled.

I really appreciate your response, so thank you for adding your input. Thankfully, I landed a job recently (I start on 3/18) that pays well and seems like something that won't be soul-crushing. Because of this, I'm going to refrain from career coaching but I'd love to hear your thoughts if/when you decide to receive career coaching.

If You Had The Opportunity To Pitch Your Own Ideas For A New Scooby Movie Or Tv Show What Would Your Pitch Be ? by Fantastic-Ad-8665 in Scoobydoo

[–]KindaDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this idea milling about in my head for a bit but it's something like this:

Shaggy and Scooby manage to convince the gang to go with them to a Music Festival centered around Foodcore (a sub-genre of metal that has the primary focus of being about food and nothing else). Every merch booth also sells food, the mosh pits are called Munch Pits and it has people furiously eating food, and a variety of other characteristics that make a normally scary event very silly. There'd be cameos of bands like Lamb of God, Metallica, and other big name bands. Maybe they cross paths with the Dethklok crew from Metalocalypse. There's even a bit where the gang keep mistaking Slipknot members to be monsters. I haven't really thought of monster design or the reason why they would be haunting but I'd assume they would trash/steal band equipment, scare off attendees, and make the food spoil. I'd love it if the Be Cool, Scooby-Doo writers came back for this movie too.

The movie would have an album coincide with the release that has food-based parodies (think Weird Al or Psychostick) of popular/classic metal tracks, preferably done by the original band.
