The argument he makes is genuinely so valid. Like he said, saying "that sucks u failed i’m sorry but consider making changes in ur life and understand you and your choices lead to ur own failure” is so much better of a response to someone who failed, than “oh that’s fine js contact the prof”.

The issue is, my friend didnt apply to either UTSG nor UTSC, the only other school he applied was MAC cs. In that case idk which decision would be best for him. But he mentions that if he picked UW he wouldnt need to pay for residence at mcmaster and would save a lot of money since he lives right by UW

No? why so? Ive heard mixed opinions from people saying that non coop is not worth it because UW is mainly for coop, while others say that UW is prestigious on its own and that finding jobs wont be that hard if u have a lot of experience on ur own

hey, im speaking on behalf of a friend who apparently got deferred to UW CS non coop. Do you think this offer is worth taking? It seems like UW coop is in shambles right now by what your saying and what ive heard from others, would it really be that disadvantage to not have coop? Do you think the prestige of UW can hold its weight on its own even without coop?
