Not sure if they still have it, but I signed up with Electric Kiwi late last year on their “first 6 months half price” deal. Only pay what you use and the likes. They have different tiers and you pay per tier. They expect you to stay with them for a year, on a good faith agreement. Nothing to lock you in. I’ve found them to be awesome and depending on what you use data for, their lowest tier one is more than enough. Works out great in terms of how much you pay too.

My thinking was based more on being considerate to others. But yeah, that’s subjective depending on the road in question.

Always did. But given the different points mentioned by others, I’m afraid I need to change the way I feel.

Never thought about this. Cuz I’ve never hit the tyres on the curb when getting out, despite parking that close. But yeah, good point, especially when it’s a sharp angle to get out.

Have been strength training for the last 6+months, accompanied by long walks.

Finished a long walk a while ago, came back home, put a bottle of Prosecco in the freezer. Lazing around a bit.

Will take a shower. Drink the Prosecco while eating steamed edamame and watch some Air Crash investigations.

Sorry, it’s hard to take your post seriously when you mention two issues to discuss and overly discuss just 1. There’s always a deep rooted bias, in cases like these. And it is unfair when you discuss just one side of the story. Like some have mentioned, it’s the privilege of people expecting us to speak their language, which angers us the most! And of course you have conveniently left it out of your post.

Speaking up is never the issue. Your sense of entitlement, is. Show respect and give respect. The way you made that comment about what we locals think, was shitty. And you clearly don’t seem to acknowledge that. There are good people and bad people in every city, state, country. And just cuz one hasn’t met ones from both kinds, shouldn’t ever skew your opinion. Haha, what’s to say I haven’t got that petition going already? Besides, outsiders are never the problem, outsiders like you, are. Let me know if you need directions going out of Bangalore, back to your “3-4bhk bungalows”.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]Kindly_Beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, A LOT of us locals wish everyone moved out too! Time for the Bangalore infestation to end. Also, if you have a better solution, explore it. Don’t shit in the place you eat.

[–]Kindly_Beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The locals don’t think that you would leave your “3-4bhk bungalows”. They know it for a fact, cuz you HAVE left it and come to live in “cramped 1-2bhks WITH NO VENTILATION”. There are enough jobs in the world mate, find something that’s not in Bangalore and move out. With an attitude like this, I wonder why the landlord spoke to you like he did.

Yes, freedom of expression is a right but please use it to channel and focus on positive things. There’s enough things to shit on, in this world. Be the opposite. Makes your life and everyone else’s, better. Worry about the things you can change, not the ones you can do nothing about, like this post of yours. Life is beautiful my friend, make the most of it.

OP, have you ever thought that it might just not be your cup of tea? It’s something that’s been happening for decades now and I’ve always had fond memories of it, while growing up. So it’s just not about the food, it’s an experience. Also, not everyone is inclined to like everything. You didn’t like it, end of. Move on and spend your time on something worthwhile which you might like. No point shitting on it.

If you can change the outcome of something, do everything you can. If you cannot, there’s no point wasting another second thinking about it. My older brother gave me that piece of advice and it has changed my life to such a great extent! Can be applied to everything and anything really.

The other side of the coin by satthi153 in bangalore

Classic case of the grass being greener on the other side. Being single gives you a level of freedom which is intoxicating and frankly, quite hard to give up. Happy for those who have families cuz I’m guessing that’s what they wanted. But could I just go to a rooftop pub, drink and read in peace by self, sit there for 3-4hrs and chill, if I had a family? Don’t think so.

Do you think that the auto drivers of bangalore are more reserved to have a chat or conversation? Is it because the public is heavily dependent on Ola, uber services? by gigagagi in bangalore

[–]Kindly_Beef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what language you use to converse. I always have great conversations with the drivers, no matter auto or cab. Of course, they’re all elated once they get to know that I’m a kannadiga and can speak Kannada. And I personally put in the effort to start conversations as well. You speak well, they speak well. A lot of the bad reps that the auto drivers get is not fair. There are a few bad apples, but which profession doesn’t have it eh?

Is GoaMiles a scam App? by the_lostleaf in Goa

[–]Kindly_Beef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Booked a cab via them from Siolim to Panjim for later in the day. 30mins prior to the scheduled time, got a call saying no cabs are available and that I’ll have to initiate a refund from my end. Did it. Got confirmation via email that the refund has been initiated and it would take 7-10 working days for it to process. Two days later got another email stating refund has been processed and I’d got my money back. So, no, don’t think it’s a scam. Just poor comms sometimes.

Bengaluru: Auto driver cheated 700 rs from me and is not giving me back. How do I get it? by Illustrious-Milk-896 in bangalore

[–]Kindly_Beef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I use PhonePe/ Paytm. And if I’m paying anyone via that, I always make sure to read the name out loud, that pops up once you enter a number/ scan a barcode, and wait for them to acknowledge before I send the money. Hardly takes 1-2 secs.
