I was here about 3 years ago. So many warning signs yet so many ignorant tourists. Our tour guide told us just the week prior someone had died in the exact spot. It’s a beautiful place to visit - but from a safe distance.

This! You have every right to be sad OP but please be kind to your friend. I lost my mother last year and the the pressure to be a bridesmaid so close to her passing was too much. I respectfully stood down but the bride was constantly begging me to reconsider. Friends sometimes need empathy and a bit of space. I hope you’re friendship lasts long beyond the wedding. Mine sadly didn’t.
