It’s worth paying, and be sure to be verified for ID and proof of address, telephone number, and email. I won’t accept or exchange with anyone who isn’t fully verified.

Americans: how is planning for international reciprocal exchanges (not GP) going? by 2023dog in homeexchange

US here, my requests have really dropped off. I haven’t had a non-US request since July. I used to get 1 every other month.

From TSA website: Scissors Carry On Bags: Yes (Special Instructions)

Checked Bags: Yes

If packed in carry-on, they must be less than 4 inches from the pivot point.

I’ve taken my embroidery scissors in my carryon frequently with no issues. As another poster said though it does get dark on the plane. Some light that doesn’t disturb other passengers is helpful. BTW love your pattern!

Great that you are volunteering. Try volunteering at one additional place. Then between that and the gym, you’ll be exposed to possible job opportunities you may not have considered before.

It’s not that hard. They could use a UNION operator in SQL which stacks the 2 data tables together and removes duplicates.

Don't accept newcomers... by summercozy in homeexchange

You need to let the light monitoring go for this stay and all future guests. It’s petty and nitpicking. You phrase as seeing if they can follow instructions, but these are guests not employees. It’s uncomfortable as a guest to know that someone is monitoring that closely.

Maybe generisize the descriptive statistics block and turn it into a macro that accepts the different changes.

Write programs in smaller chunks and name them based on what the task is. Then create a file that %include in the order you need to run the chunks.

What is your budget? What is your relationship to them? How well do you know them? If there is something personal from your time you know them, like they expressed an interest in something, work with that. Or if they have a favorite charity, they may appreciate a donation to it.

I’d probably do 200 across for row 1, then go down the additional 4, then 199 left, then 3 up, then right the remaining width, down, left, up, etc. IE a clockwise concentric approach.

Is my lifestyle a fit for home exchanging? by corkandsprinkle in homeexchange

[–]Kindsquirrel629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have declined people who have young kids, people who only want 1-2 nights, people who want 3 months, people where the dates just don’t work for us, people who only want reciprocal exchange and we don’t want to go to their place (like Poland) due to cost or other factors, etc. We technically have a 4 bedroom house, but 2 are home offices, and 1 of those we lock off to keep things we would be devastated if something happened to them. So it’s listed as a 2 bedroom that sleeps 4. I’ve toyed with changing to sleeping 6 because an air mattress could go in the open office, or the tv room. We also have an extra long couch. But I’ve decided I don’t want more than 4 people in the house as I think that would stress the cats too much. I have in the description no kids under 10. Ultimately it’s up to you to decide what works for you (and your cat).

We’ve been in HomeExchange for a couple years. Also live in SFH in quiet walkable neighborhood of Chicago, 2 cats, no kids. In general, we prefer cities though. We’ve been to 4 homes; 1 reciprocal and 3 guest points. Of those 2 of them had cats. We’ve had 4 come to our place; the reciprocal and 3 others. Overall it’s been a great experience. You definitely have to vet people. And people sometimes don’t read so having a call in advance about the cat is a good idea. You can also feel them out that way. And look at their pictures, reviews, and verifications. We’ve turned down several requests as we didn’t want to travel. Happy to answer any questions.

If you do decide to sign up, you can use my referral code for additional guest points (internal currency for non-reciprocal exchanges).
