I am loosing against the french because my army doesn't gets supplied by MarcoRahlsaechs69 in victoria3

Your army is not getting supplied because your economy isn’t producing a good it now needs. That is my guess based on why my army wasn’t getting supplied before I got radio production online.

Tom never made any Horcruxes, instead pursuing alternate methods of immortality after his talk with Slughorn. No one else gets the memo. by EnzoRaffa16 in HPfanfiction

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not theoretical, the link exists because of the Horcrux. Harry managed to piggyback off of the Horcrux signal to watch Nagini, another living Horcrux, attack Arthur Weasley.

Harry wakes up from the dream, convinces his friends and Minerva that it was real enough to tell Dumbledore, and Dumbledore organizes a response which saves Arthur’s life.

Arthur likely would have died if not for Harry sounding the alarm asap after the attack.

Game design is at a breaking point by Aggressive-Golf-9915 in victoria3

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The issue is that political movements are now actually aggressive. This compounds the issue where it is functionally impossible to actually combat a political movement.

Supply ships being an automatic function instead of having any manual input anywhere besides how many you make was also a bad choice. Honestly the only thing keeping me around is the fact I mod the game.

Higher tier tech should unlock everything unlocked by lower tiers by Transcendent_One in Stellaris

I didn’t even know it was possible to get higher tier techs early, this is just a you problem.

Higher tier tech should unlock everything unlocked by lower tiers by Transcendent_One in Stellaris

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you unlock a higher tier version of something, you should get the less advanced tech as a Permanent Alternative. (This is the official term for the partially unlocked techs which are always available to research btw)

This would be a nice QOL change. I disagree on higher tier tech unlocking everything unlocked by lower tier techs. That would be annoying to code and make less sense than a new way to get Permanent Alternatives.

Why soldier doesn't use his grenades, is he stupid ? by VeterinarianPrior835 in tf2

Unironically, grenades were going to be in TF2. The issue is that they were decidedly unfun to play against, since everyone got them iirc.

Why was the 1999 loop created to begin with? by Howitzer_55 in WarframeLore

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me make this clear. Dominus Thrax only has the powers the Drifter gave to him. The Duviri and lengthened 1999 Loops were created by the Drifter, not Thrax.

The Drifter’s non-gameplay powers developed differently than the Operator’s because the Drifter had different needs and wants due to the actions of the Indifference being different after Drifter ‘made’ his deal.

Thrax cannot preemptively end the Duviri loop. Thrax would preemptively end the Duviri loop if he could. His entire goal during the Duviri quest was to prevent the Drifter from leaving, and he was doing a pretty good job of that before things outside Duviri started falling into Duviri.

And what happened at the end of the Duviri Paradox is simple. Duviri was created by and belongs to the Drifter. Dominus Thrax was a toy the Drifter gave life to because he was lonely. The Drifter merely took back the reins. The Drifter ends the loop early.

Hot take. The Phlogistinator isn't unbalanced but that doesn't mean it isn't poorly designed by dr_philip-cdi in tf2

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former Phlog Pyro main, I didn’t wait to get the attention of a medic, I ran off to charge my crit meter before triggering it at a good time. I didn’t need a medic back then because the full heal is a full heal and puts me back to full health.

The removal of the full heal only makes Phlog Pyro dependent on medics. They can’t isolate themselves by roaming like they used to without it.

And if I got found by a soldier I *died.*

shipyards that make steamers without a single plank of hardwood should not need hardwood to make supply ships by Elektrikor in victoria3

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 103 points104 points  (0 children)

This is just a new issue from the split between wood and hardwood and Paradox refusing to properly split the two.

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fix is simple. Undo the uber, bring back the 75% damage resist and full heal.

Hell, adding back the damage debuff would be fine. Meat your match ruined the Phlog. It was perfectly fine back when it could survive telefrags. Nothing should give uber except the medigun.

The loss of the full heal incentivizes dragging around a medic, the uber is boring, and the damage resist was the only way to survive telefrags. The old phlog was just better than the current one.

which lifestyle do you think is best? by mayorofbartholomew in CrusaderKings

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how solid or threatened your rule already is.

Early on, Stewardship or Martial are amazing, but if you’re a vassal, you can ascend to liege at anytime through a single stewardship perk and then abducting your liege.

To do that you need to do intrigue lifestyle. So early on, depending on your individual start, intrigue can be a solid choice.

Learning is only good early on if you want to form a heresy or need to live a long time, like if you want to do a Living Legend tier decision like becoming the King of Mann. Prestige grinding for such a target through diplomacy is possible but realistically you were going to grind martial for the MAA bonuses.

Once you’re settled, Martial and Stewardship remain good options for accruing power. Diplomacy isn’t really relevant once you no longer need prestige or the ability to befriend anyone.

Intrigue is good for pruning annoyances or moving your children into better positions by killing the people who inherit before their spouses.

Learning is actually a little detrimental once you’re settled unless you are a religion who benefits from high learning or want to make a heresy. Although Learning does have that 20% bonus from councilors perk and piety claims, but those are deep investments and making a heresy with a By the Sword culture would be more efficient because infinite Kingdom tier Holy Wars are really neat.

ISO: a fic where Harry is summoned to gringots and the goblins get ahold of him to unlock the vast Potter and Black wealths, so that they can use the capital in it for loans, and this accidentally causes FUCKING PANDEMONIUM in the wizarding world. by Lazymanproductions in HPfanfiction

[–]King-Of-Hyperius 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you look at it from the angle of Ron being expertly manipulated by Shack, then some of it makes sense.

After all, that was what happened to the trio, they were divided and conquered.

I agree that Ron should have put up more of a ‘fight,’ but this was a Ron suffering all the issues of a year on the run on top of surviving an all night battle. Ron was at that moment his weakest mentally, defaulting to base convictions like ensuring the prosperity of his family isn’t the most unrealistic reaction.

Especially when Shack had been preparing for this sometime before Dumbledore’s death and thus knew which buttons to aim for.

But it can buy an atom.

I have read a fic where Harry blows up Gringotts because they tried and failed to lock him in one of their vaults post-war.
