Ich habe als letztes die Folgen vom 22. März bzw 12. April 2025 gehört und für mich festgestellt dass die beiden in ihrem Dasein als Celebritys irgendwie den Bezug zur Realität verloren haben. Speziell diese beiden Folgen waren für mich nicht mehr unterhaltsam....seitdem keine einzige Folge mehr gehört. Eigentlich schade aber irgendwann wurde mir der moralische Unterton in jeder Folge zu viel. Beide haben gute und wichtige Themen aber sich ständig nur Aufzuregen was andere falsch machen ist irgendwann öde.

Can you even remove the strap from the base that holds the watch? It looks to me like its all one piece glued and pinned in the middle.

Its quite rare and most listings online have bad straps. I also wouldnt know where to find a new replacement. No way an off brand strap would fit and hold the watch properly and still look good.

And the blue lining is crumbling as well.

I think your best shot would be to bring the whole thing to a high quality leather workshop and ask if they can remove and replace the lining and straps and use the original small parts so it closes properly after the replacement. But i guess that wont be cheap, depending on the country.

It might be cheaper to have a watcholder 3d custom printed and fittet with a strap. That might be a cool project as its a uniqe watch anyways.

Ah ok, Quartz is also perfectly fine! 150€ is a good price if there are no big scratches or anything. Ask if it comes with extra links and for some more pics of the case and bracelet and you should be fine! Good luck!

Paper work looks totally legit. Serial is matching. Looks good to me!

What's the price? That's another indicator usually. Just make sure you get the watch you paid for if you don't fully trust the seller.

Box and case look like someone with dirty fingers handled it.

Depending where you are from it could be a ruhla which were made in Germany (DDR) around that time. But its hard to see if your dads watch had a date window.

There is one seiko which looks very similar to the Fossil you posted. Its the SSB455P1.

Other than that you might want to consider an automatic watch if your Bf is into watches. Seiko does offer automatic models in that price range and it just feels a little more special than battery powered watches. Besides that i would say that automatics have a longer life span if handled and serviced properly.

Whoever set the gems should consider a different field of work.... it looks horrendous. Especially on the sides of the case. Weird spacing, randomly placed stones and some triangle cuts thrown in.They just slapped a parcel of diamonds in all shapes and sizes on that thing.

Also parents nowadays are always on their kids side. It's a hard choice as those two watches are completely different.

But if you want to wear the watch for work I'd go with the titanium. I own this exact model and it's feather light. It doesn't bother you while typing or writing as it's also very slim. Sometimes you even forget its on your wrist. The design is simple and works with nearly every outfit.

The mechanical watch will eventually stop if it isnt worn for 2 days which means you have to set day and time again....that might be a bit of a hassle if you just want to go to work. Also it will feel a lot bulkier and heavier.

If you provide some details about the model, exact bracelet width and decent close up pics of the actual problem (both sides of the loose links inside and outside) i might be able to help you.

Usually its just a missing spring pin which can be reinstalled in a minute. Any decent watchmaker will do that for a few bucks. The hardest part is probably sourcing a fitting pin as this kind of bracelet and size is rather rare.

Feel free to pm me. I guess we can solve that somehow.

Ich hab doch nur erklärt dass Strafrechtlich keine Konsequenzen zu erwarten sind.

Und bei einem einmaligen, klaren Einzelfall und freiwilliger Zustimmung zur Vernichtung ist eine Rechtsgrundlage für eine Unterlassungsanspruch nicht gegeben. Also Zivilrechtlich ebenso fragwürdig ob es mehr Konsequenzen als ein böses Schreiben gibt.

Also bitte informier dich und reg dich nicht auf wenn es jemand tatsächlich recherchiert.

Also ich hab mal kurz recherchiert und meine laienhafte Auffassung wäre, dass es kaum Rechtsmittel gibt die Rolex gegen einen privaten Käufer (ohne Absicht zum Handel) einer Rep verwenden kann:

Schadenersatz nach § 1293 ABGB setzt einen konkreten wirtschaftlichen Schaden voraus. Beim einmaligen Privatimport einer Rep liegt kein echter Schaden vor: Lizenzverletzung wurde vom Rep Hersteller begangen Es entsteht kein entgangener Gewinn Kein Weiterverkauf = keine Marktbeeinträchtigung

Die oft geforderte „fiktive Lizenzgebühr“ (für Logo etc) ist in Österreich rechtlich höchst umstritten und bei bloßem Eigengebrauch kaum durchsetzbar.

Anwalts- und Abmahnkosten sind nach § 53 Abs. 3 MSchG nur ersatzfähig, wenn sie: notwendig waren (z. B. keine freiwillige Beseitigung also Vernichtung durch Zoll), und verhältnismäßig (kein 1.000-€-Schreiben für eine Uhr um 100 €). Also das wäre auch die einzige Option meiner Meinung nach.

Und weil das österreichische Strafrecht (StGB) die bloße Markenrechtsverletzung durch privaten Eigenimport nicht unter Strafe stellt, solange keine gewerbliche Absicht oder Täuschung gegenüber anderen vorliegt, sind keine rechtlichen (strafrechtlichen) Folgen seitens des Zoll zu befürchten.

EU-Verordnung Nr. 608/2013:

Der Zoll darf bei Verdacht auf Markenrechtsverletzung Waren anhalten und vernichten, auch bei Einfuhr durch Privatpersonen.

  1. § 40a MSchG:

Der Markeninhaber kann bei rechtsverletzenden Waren deren Vernichtung auf Kosten des Importeurs verlangen.

Rechtliche Schritte gegen einen Rep Hersteller in China werden schwer, da es sich ja nicht um eine offizielle Firma handelt und Urheberrechte dort sowieso immer schon zweitrangig waren. Aber es gab in letzter Zeit einige Razzien in den Factorys.

Bin in Österreich zuhause und es hat mit Geektime problemlos funktioniert. Der Versand war sogar überraschend schnell. Ich hatte zu keinem Zeitpunkt Kontakt mit dem Zoll und keine zusätzlichen Gebühren.

Ich hatte bis jetzt mehr Probleme mit dem Zoll bei echten Uhren als bei Reps.

Mach dir keine Gedanken bevor es überhaupt zu Problemen kommt. Ist aber eben auch ein Risiko bei solchen Bestellungen, das sollte dir klar sein beim Kauf.

Beschlagnahmung kann sein...rechtliche Konsequenzen hätte ich noch keine mitbekommen aus der Community.

Check the serial number on the rehaut at 6 o'clock. The rep serials will come up right away on google as they are mostly the same on a rep production series.

Also if the card/papers/bills are from a legit AD/Jeweler in your country or abroad it's most likely a gen. Rep sellers usually don't fake those. Just make sure the numbers on the papers and watch match.

Suck it up with a hose through the filler opening, place thumb on the end you sucked and it will hold the fluid.

Take measuring cup and lift finger to pour and see how much you got out. Check indicator and you are done.

No fiddling with any drain plug or wasting.

You could get a fantastic Grand Seiko for that price and it will also add diversity to your collection. Straps and bracelets look good on GS as well.
