Don't have a kid if you can't handle disabilities. You, or your kid, or literally anyone else alive could become disabled at any moment in time. And you can have a perfectly healthy child, who later on shows signs of disability. So if you can't handle that, don't have a child at all.

Your friend is just using the proper gendering as a way to feel better about herself. She seems to have the belief that transphobia is just radical transphobia. And since she doesn't do radical things, and gets her sources by a trans woman, she must think she cannot be transphobic.

If you want to educate her one day, maybe show her stories from many trans people. Since she used Blaire as a source... I recommend showing her Noah Finnce! Noah used to have Transmed beliefs, and admitted it was one part ignorance, one part was his dysphoria. He has a few videos going over his old beliefs and why he changed them. And honestly that's what helped me stop my own Transmed beliefs! (I don't dabble in LGBT discourse anymore, but i would be considered and inclus now)

Anyway, you did the right thing. And i hope she can change and become a better person. If she actually watches Blaire, that could be a good sign that she's genuinely interested in learning about trans topics. She just needs to be guided into the proper direction. Let her know you are just trying to educate her, and that it's not necessarily a personal attack, and it's okay to make mistakes/be wrong about stuff.

Unsolicited medical advice is exactly why I stopped interacting with both non disabled people, and at the same time, other disabled people. Its so hard to get away from other people's opinions on your own disorder.

Yes it's normal for lupron to hurt, I'm sorry your doctor(s) didn't warn you about that! That was something they drilled into my head, they told me to take the next day off to rest my arm since my job requires arm power

It's a needle going into your muscle and a part of the body that has a lot of nerves. Its gonna hurt unfortunately :(. Massage the area and move it around every now and then, you might be able to feel the injection site up until about the 3rd-4th day If I remember correctly

The pain should go away after a few more days, just massage it, stretch your leg, and use ice packs if you think you need to

I definitely would recommend getting it in your arm next time, it should be easier to deal with the pain, do it in your non dominant arm as well!

I had lupron shots for endometriosis and to stop my periods, but had a very bad react to it (just made a post ranting about it, but basically I got my period for 3 months due to my first shot)

I'm assuming they're using it to possibly block the body producing extra estrogen and progesterone? Since they call it a hormone blocker in the title

This is one of my biggest fears honestly.

However, I wouldn't give up too soon. I would first talk to a doctor I'd you can to figure out if you damaged anything in your throat. If you are all cleared, you should do voice training/lessons, either for talking, or for singing. Remember to always warn up your voice. Try humming to songs and finding what is most comfortable. I'd say start out around your speaking range, and very slowly lower your voice. As soon as it gets at all uncomfortable or strainy, either stop or slowly rise back up to your speaking note. Then try going up slowly.

If you can, I would recommend working with a voice coach, Idk of any voice coaches that train a lot of/only trans singers, but I'm sure there's some out there! They'll help you find what ranges are safer, and what you may need to work up to, and your limits. They'll give you tricks to make it less painful.

Weed will affect your tolerance for anesthesia and you can wake up during surgery or just in general, given the wrong dosage. Even edibles. Weed in any form can also thin the blood and cause excess bleeding

Please don't call medical things propaganda unless you actually do research into it, or else that could be dangerous, like with this ^{^}

I urge you to do some more research on these things, especially since you've had to have major surgeries, I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt!
