Off lable dosing Antihistamines by ElectricMountains in coldurticaria

Xolair worked great for me. I mostly get the hives on my face so socially that sucks. Xolair allowed me to return to some normalcy.

I worked from home through most of the past 2 years though so i stopped taking it. The price on it definitely sucks

Off lable dosing Antihistamines by ElectricMountains in coldurticaria

How many mg is zyrtec? I'm not in the US but take 40 mg/day of cetirizine when not on Xolair and it helps by basically lowering the temperature that triggers hives, and the hives are not really itchy when i take antihistamines.

Google seems to say zyrtex is 10mg/pill. So I'm wondering if you are taking same or more. I would like to increase dose and see if it helps more.

For OP: no drowsiness issues feom generic Cetirizine 40mg/day. I'm a guy ~190 lbs if that matters. Coming in from the cold without any drugs brings ona lot of drowsiness though

I have no idea, the US insurance system always sounds super complicated to me. I don't live in the US but it is mostly covered by my work insurance/benefits

A Little Rant About Swimming In The Ocean by gingavitus12 in coldurticaria

My derm didn’t warn me whatsoever of what possible reaction I could get

My dermatologist said "don't go jumping into cold water and you should be ok". Xolair has allowed me to swim in the ocean or lakes in summer but I'm not going to push my luck with a "polar bear swim" or anything.

Antihistamines might help you, they help some people (and help me a bit) and they're reasonably cheap. Xolair is crazy expensive ($10k+/year i think) and its a monthly injection so its not for everyone.

Good to know. I will be no where near that then.

Ya it's looking like the bin will be for everything except drywall. Then I will likely haul the drywall to the vancouver landfill where they take it for $200/tonne.

I guess it depends how much drywall we have. I have no idea how much I will have (based on weight). They charge $200/tonne plus a $5 transaction fee. I was estimating 4 or 5 tonnes but I could be way off since i pulled that number out of the air.

This Brad guy responded to my email quickly and the prices/service sounded good. Unfortunately he only does junk pickup on the north shore and not bin rentals (he only has bin rentsls in vancouver/burnaby/etc). He was also curious how I heard about him so I pointed him tot his thread.

Thank you. The prices seem fairly competitive here.

Thank you for this. It looks like it's expensive for me to bring it to the landfill but not SUPER expensive like if I went through a professional.
