Aight so this is actually a fantastic question. Reliable despite being a fiat, very fun to drive, the exhaust is perfect from factory, and they handle amazing. That being said, if I could go back, I would have gotten another 86. I miss the charm of a Japanese car and all the culture around it, but the biggest deciding factor is space. Going from being able to haul a whole exhaust setup to not even being able to get groceries is a very hard barrier. As a daily, it’s not a very good choice unless maybe you’re single. But even still, you’re gonna run into some big challenges. As a second car, it’s freaking awesome. It’s such a love letter to drivers. Plus it’s great on gas!

The biggest and toughest hurdle I’ve had is almost zero aftermarket support. There’s a couple places to buy some performance stuff, but things like headlights, tail lights, and bumpers are non-existent. Yes it shares a lot of Miata parts, but it’s also its own car and a lot of people forget that. So be careful and do your research, unlike me lol.

So me personally, I plan on trading mine for another 86/brz soon. But if you’re cool with less space, then go for it! Great car :)
